Those 4 are just scratching the surface mate it runs much much deeper
Don't forget we declined offers (plural) for Guthrie ;);)
Amazingly enough Billy Clarke seems to be one of the shining lights so far a journeyman in his 3rd spell at the club who can last 65/70 mins at the most every other game nothing against the player but worryingly if he is the leading light we are in bigger trouble than is evident at the moment

Ask yourself why he didn't want to be here
The club preffered Bowyer to him and that was an insult
If my bosses were making all the wrong decisions to my detriment I would want out too
Vaughan was no "Angel" but I can see his point wanting away

What is really worrying is McCalls judgment or lack of it, He made 4 changes and each one made the side weaker and it was obvious to most that it would do exactly that, A first year football scholar would know that BRE is to slow and ponderous to play outside in a three, Looking at Lincoln and the fact they like to play and break quickly and play 3 up front why on earth would you play 3 at the back? Why would you drop the MOM from the last game?
The defeat was in a large part down to decisions McCall made and that is worrying

How so many are now worried about SM management skills is amazing . Did no one see his last 2 stints at the club . Had disaster written all over it 3rd time round

There were warning signs against Colchester that we look vulnerable aginst teams breaking at speed. I thought Lincoln played some good stuff at times, the speed at which they broke is something we haven't had for a long time. Telling how a complete 18 year old rookie looks our best centre back at times.

    Bronco,

I think the point is that had that been anyone else but McCall would you be so forgiving? If Bowyer had come to an interview and gave those answers would you be as willing to accept them.

The issue is we are accepting mediocrity because of who the manager is and at some point we have to let go of the 'blame Edin' excuse.

I have a problem with him giving BRE game time, he is dire, I would rather give Sikora more game time if he is wanting to manage Staunton so that he is not expected to play every game at such a young age.

As for Donaldson, time he retired mate.

I know it's not going to happen until next summer, but we need to replace all our strikers, until then we need to bring in a couple, preferably one with a bit of experience and also maybe a young loanee such as the kid from Palace

We have given contracts to 4 young fit and hopefully talented young players, Maybe time to start blending them in to the side replacing some older ones with tired legs, Seeing them so far they make up with desire and enthusiasm what they lack in experience which will come given the chance

nothing wrong with the questions, but hes clearly tilted because hes tired of people accusing him of not putting the effort in. its not good for the club, its not good for morale.

I wonder who McCall will play in place of Elliot Watt at Forest Green?. Named MOTM last night, he is bound to be dropped for Saturday

Which specific replies are you asking about I thought I'd cover them.
He agreed with what most fans were posting shocking performance.
If his players dont do the basics then the formation does not matter.
He repeated he had spoken to 3 players and although he would not go into details he said why they would not come.
With regards the loans he was now getting hot under the collar he's only human he having a hard time, for me he was annoyed because he though some fans were questioning his resent quotes with regards the loan players, we have to wait until the parent club release the player on loan.
I would think after that performance he was annoyed and hurt as I say it's his club as well as ours he's a City fan.
I have quote I thought his team selection was wrong as I did before the game against Colchester.
Not sure many fans are forgiving, certainly not on here even bronco criticised him.
With regards past managers if they accepted what we saw last night was very poor and they are responsibile as he is the only person who can change things, if I'm not sure any manager could say much more.

Hence why Stuart was questioned with regards dropping the likes of Staunton, I couldnt see why, even given his comment with regards giving players game time.

Well, to be fair both Sikora and BRE have had a match now. It's clear who performed stronger so we can only see what happens next!

    Bronco,

Unless I missed something (and that is not unknown) what he actually said was he understood the reason why they chose not to come to Bradford City. He did not give the reasons. He gave one example. He said that one of the targets did not come because of financial reasons. For the other targets he did not give any specific. reason.

Surely part of his role is to make players want to come to Bradford City. Persuade them that this is the place they want to be. That he can take their career upwards, make them a better player. The player becomes so excited by his plan both for the club and the player they WANT to come here.

What I am hearing from him is that they gave him a reason not to come and he went "OK. I can understand that. Thanks for your time". What he should have said is "Yea OK. I get that but here is what I can do for you."

And there was no point in last nights interview that he said, this is mine, I am the manager, the buck stops with me. I made the changes, I decided to play BRE in the wide role, I decided to not play Novak or Clarke, I decided to change formation. The changes at half time were my decision. I decided to ...... so it sits with me. I take it on the chin, I own this. It is up to me to look at the players we have and decide what I need to do.

But he didn't. He sat there like Donny Trump throwing the blame around onto everyone else but him.

No matter all my name calling, McCrap, Teflon (1, 2 or 3) bottom line is that at no point in his career as a manager has he demonstrated that he has the ability to take a club, build it up and move it forward. he simply doesn't have the mental strength and that was evident in the interview last night.

I had a migraine yesterday so totally forgot about the match (Thanks all for not breaking the site :) ) but I was just checking some emails before going back to bed as I'm still not feeling great and I had a notification for the highlights and wow even on them you are awful in front of goal. You had got fairly lucky so far that the defence had been solid but you could be in real trouble if like last night the defence starts to struggle unless you get some players who are more clinical in front of goal

His fourth spell will be different though.

If not his fourth, then his fifth or sixth. At a push he'll have definitely got it right by stint seven.

Sounds like the Stuart McCall from his last two stints at the club to me.
"we want players who are better than what we've got" - hell Stuart, that won't be hard to do!!

Obviously the club backed the manager! If there is a disagreement, you’re never going to get a situation where the player is backed over the manager. This would undermine the manager and make his position untenable.

I wonder if you can really blame Stuart when you
consider his appointment was Rhodes' decision
based on he knew Stuart,no doubt liked him,the
fans liked him, Stuart loves the club,BUT,we can't
give him the chance he needs because no financial
backing! He will never be a successful manager with
no financial clout at any level.

I have always thought Stuart is TOO close to the club.
I think desperation is not a quality commesurate with
success. Stuart may try too hard and be desparate to
share the good times with the fans and that would be
ideal for everyone connected with the club.

Stuart's only success as a manager was at Motherwell.
The season they finished 3rd and played in Europe was
the best anyone could have hoped for but the season
after, the board decimated his budget and they went
    into free fall.

He may see Prem youngsters as our hope for nurturing
a natural talent to lift us but would a potential talent like
that be allowed to join a league 2 club that does not offer
    stability and potential ?

We have always seemed to lack ideas as a club.We keep going
down the same old same old ways in recruiting and if we are
to ever change and achieve longer term improvement we need
fresh ideas.A proper business plan.Decide to become a business
with intent,to own our ground, look to future investment in proper
    youth recruitment,professional training facilities,be progressive,this
is what attracts talent to want to play for this club.

This is long term and not likely to happen in my lifetime but patience
is required now for the rewards later.
