Of course the buck stops at his door, he did with Vaughan exactly what you're accusing him of not doing, trying to persuade Vaughan he was better staying at Bradford City.
I find it rather ironic that Cooke commented the reason he came back to City (after being offered better terms else where) was to developed his career under yes you've guessed it Stuart MacCall.
Stuart's first spell was always about bringing the legend back knowing it was a risk with him only ever being an assistant, he could not get the club promoted accepting that fact and resigning after he had taken a large pay cut.
I'm sure you dont need me reminding you about his second spell and the reasons why he was sacked, during his 18 months at the club we occupied a top 7 place through out, even when Rahic sacked him we were still in with a very good chance of a play off place, unfortunately during his last spell there were extenuating circumstances he had little or no control over as Mr Championship manager found out as did Collins who was hung out to dry by Rahic and let's not forget Hopkins who could not get a tune out of the players.
This is his third spell as you say and last night was a disaster but I will give him time to sort the squad out and I certainly wont be asking for his head after 4 games, as he said in his interview judge me after 46 games, if results dont change I'm not sure he'll get his wish but I for one dont want another change of manager and he will get my backing.

I think the precedence waiting to be set if the club
supported Vaughan rather than the manager, was
clear to see.Player power taking over. Can't do that.

It would help if the club had an intersted owner, I'm not sure we need to debate our situation until we know Rupp intentions going forward.
For all there so called failings our last owners made their intentions quite open, Parky gets the best budget we can give him, he delivers a Cup run or we sell one of our players, not the greatest strategy but we knew what was coming if Parky didnt deliver.
So for me until Rupp comes out with his long term plan, as he says he is not interested in selling we stumble on as we are, I can't see there being a change any time in the near future irrelevant of who our manager is.

No judging after 46 games rubbish.

You made that mistake with Bowyer.

Judge with your eyes not your heart. Yes he needs time but time to judge will be soon not after 46 games. Last night wasn't good enough at all..It was unacceptable on all levels.

"as he said in his interview judge me after 46 games, if results dont change I'm not sure he'll get his wish" stop jumping in with both feet before reading someone's post it can make you look silly ?.

You looked silly defending Bowyer when it was clear he needed to go.

Not sure he will get his wish is you implying from the board not your own view.

    Bronco,

Judge me after (another) 46 games? How much rope do we need to give this guy? We are not the Stuart McCall Charity Football Club.

I would argue in his second spell, particularly season 1, he took over a club on an upswing after a number of years of success. I would also argue that Parkinson would have obtained automatic promotion with the same players.

My comment was that McCall has never demonstrated an ability to turn a club around if they are on a downward trajectory, City first time, end of his second spell (self admitted) and Scunthorpe. I would argue he simply doesn’t have the management skills or mental fortitude. Last nights game and interview was a demonstration of that.

I would also say that ultimately at the end of his one successful season we were still beaten and there are enough comments on here that he did not manage that game well.

The fact that 4 strikers, including Vaughn, have turned him down, none in his Teflons own words for financial reasons, reflects As much on his inability to recruit as well as the club.

And your example of Cooke? When have you ever heard a player who has just signed for a club say anything but great things about the whole club? Cooke was throwing platitudes around because he was glad to have a contract.

I hope Stuart succeeds but history and his own record is against that happening, He does need time but we must bear in mind if he gets it wrong we will end up in non league football, In the interests of the club if we are in the bottom half come Jan he will have to go that is the most we can give him

BL is right in his comment but to then allow the manager to bring in two new strikers only to sack him a week or so later is an act utter lunacy. Caused by having no overview of the club from above the manager, the Vaughan situation was allowed to get an untenable point, good directorship would never have allowed the situation get to that stage. We're still suffering for the mismanagement now leaving us with an unbalanced strike force.

Yes I think I'm right in saying that's exactly what he said last night, but if you look at my reply you will see I don't think he will get that far unless the team performances pick up, so I don't understand your stance.

Your second comment is how us fans interpret the second time he was here, I was one of the few who made the comment that Parky had left him several players who were the backbone of his team, we'll never know if Parky would have taken us to a Wembley final but what we do know is Stuart did.

His previous spells at the club have been well documented and up to a point we agree on his first stint, but I think most fans accepted the situation with regards the co owner and his interference during his second stint, wanting him sacked after taking the club to a Wembley final only a man who knows football could come up with that one apparently being backed by his co-owner.

I heard his post match interview and believe what he said with regards speaking with Maynard, Hiwula, and AN Other is true not sure Stuart is a liar, you may believe differently.

With regards Cooke I said he had better offers elsewhere and chose Bradford City because of Stuart McCall again neither of us know the exact situation but my information came from a fellow forum member who speaks with his father.
With regards him turning us around I would think this is certainly his last chance to get us promoted as that is the only turn around I'm interested in, I'll judge him then.

Honestly? Neither of them.Vaughan full of his own importance
with no desire to play for us and Bowyer as clueless as the worst
    managers we've had!

I'd like to hear how anyone could defend that scenario, as you say utter lunacy.

You generally find owners of football clubs are limelighters.
Rupp is a between the stools character for me.To start with
he backed Rahic thinking he would make him money but after
he was on his own, I think he has liked the idea of owning a
football club even though it's not his forte'.

It's been said he's not interested in football and that may be true
but look at his race team car.All decked out in BCFC colours
showing off his "other" business interest and most business
people like to advetise their worth.

Rupp absolutely needs to come clean on what his long term intentions
are so we know how far he is prepared to support us.

Glad he didn't desert us when Rahic went but he needs to
stand up and declare his intentions.

Could he get sponsorship from the club with regards his cars being covered in Bradford City emblems and colours, could something like that be possible ?.
