If he's half as good as the last defender we had with that surname he'll do for me.

 

I'll reserve judgement based on our hit and miss recruitment but its certainly an area that needed strengthening. Lets hope he's a hit.

Well like everyone of us I sincerely hope he is a cracking player. Wolves might be returning the favour as we sold them the Late Great Dean Richards. I know he had to go as he was too good for us, but I loved watching him play. So now we have Lewis. The club have kept this very much under wraps which is good to see. MH damping down expectations in his interviews gives the hungry greedy agents heading in the wrong directions, well done City.

Every Bradford City at the time who saw Dean coming through the ranks knew he was destined for a higher level of football, taken far too young mate.

 

As wing back is a comparatively rare position my guess is that the majority of people who play there are converted wingers or full backs

p.s Fabio Cannavaro, regarded as one of the best centre backs of all time, is 5”9.

 

Richards has signed for an undisclosed fee on a 2 year deal with option of another year. Hughes only said the other day that we can’t pay fees and yesterday nothing in the pipeline.

 

They signed Foulds when Richards got injured

The slight concern for me is that our system for this season relies on him and Oyegoke - both fairly young lads who will have ups and downs. Let's hope that they can both adapt quickly. Oyegoke has already shown good points but was also under par at Stockport. We'll need to get behind these young lads at times and give them a bit of a lift when they're having the less good games.

The reason we didn't go up last season had NOTHING to do with Andy Cook. It's a shame you cannot work that out.

 

Agree. He'll certainly get the opportunities to play so it's all up to him!

Hope he shows up well and proves to be a good signing.

 

Richards can play all three left sided defensive positions can only imagine Ridhalge will be cover for left back
