Yes, great attitude, lots of us wish he could have made it. All the best Kai.

 

Think some of the comments here are slightly harsh - yeah he wasn't great but he was thrown in at the deep end, a bit like Collins as manager to be fair. Both might have decent careers in football at a lower level but weren't ready for League One. Any of us would accept a big promotion in our jobs if offered it so he can't be blamed when he gave his all

Hopkin is taking a ruthless approach to weeding out the players who aren’t good enough. I like the way he’s going about things. He’s the perfect manager for this club and he’ll take us forward. I hope we back him with some ambitious funding. He could take this club forward in a very big way.

 

This is great news and was much needed. Another nail in the coffin of that ridiculous recruitment regime that brought us Kai and deemed Kilgallon as not up to it. Not the lad's fault of course and in many ways he's been just as much a victim as the rest of us. The fact that we've had to wait so long to get rid is testament to the utter failures of last Jan and the summer.

Yes the lad was a trier, but nowhere near good enough to play league football in England. One half decent game in all the time he was here, other than that, there was little evidence of any improvement in the time he was here.

So, whilst I wish him all the best with his career back in Germany, I'm certainly not sad to see him go. If Payne leaves this month, then I will be sad

 

Glad to see Hopkin starting to get rid of the deadwood. We need to trim the squad and use some of those wages on actual decent footballers.
I get that Bruenker tried. But he was terrible and often stopped the flow of the game when he came off the bench, constantly giving away needless fouls. He is BPA standard.

From a purely football and ability point of view it just hasn't worked for him and in that sense it's the right thing that he has gone. However for the effort and commitment the guy has shown I'm disappointed for him that it hasn't worked out. I'm not sure that I've ever wanted to see someone grab a goal quite as much as him.

I'm glad he's got something sorted back home and hope he smashes it. I'm sure there will be a few who keep an eye out for him!
