I fundamentally disagree with a lot of his big ideas, but he definitely had a vision and he signed some good players.

We're now definitely lacking a vision and we're not signing good players, either.

He's coming in the same taxi as the right back and a striker.

The new CEO who went to another job was believed to have being Baldwin
According to Sparks from the FF Rhodes is actively searching for his replacement
But if it's anything like our striker search it will be next season when his replacement is found

How I see it is i think Rhodes and rupp and sparks have done a really good job keeping this club afloat and even having a budget for this season bearing in mind there no money coming in just thank god we are not Macclesfield or Southend

I have no problem with the fact that Rhodes doesn’t like the limelight and from what I’ve heard he is a very likeable guy (I haven’t heard of 1 manager who didn’t get on with him).....but I think that you just have to look at his history of failure with the club.

We need somebody who’s prepared to be the face of the club and be a strong leader with charisma (though not a dictator). Baldwin in my opinion would’ve been perfect, but not to be. JR doesn’t inspire confidence, yet he’s the day to day leader of the club who’s owner seems very disinterested.

What about the half a million quid or so solidarity payment?
The half million or so basic award from the EFL?
The ‘six figure’ three year deal from JCT600?
    All the other sponsorship?
    The sell ons from McBurnie?
Reduced outgoings from furlough and delayed payments to HMRC?

    No money coming in though?

Have we had anyone at the top state their intentions for this season? I gathered there was some communication in the matchday program on Saturday. Anyone care to take a pic, or summarise what it said? From Rupp I presume. I'd have thought, considering there's no physical attendance, that the program would have been made available online.

Has he had a history of failure? Has any of it been down to him?

The first admin was nothing to do with him, the second was due to a dispute with Gibb who you could argue was more culpable.

This time Rhodes was brought in to clear up the mess left behind by Rahic. As far as I can see he’s making a reasonable job of it. You certainly can’t put our current predicament being in league 2 down to him.

It's fine wanting him to step aside but where's the queue for his replacement?
The club's a mess and it's hard to see where the necessary investment for progress will come from. It seems all a bit comfy at the top... owner who's rich enough to bide his time and a feeling that we can just bumble along without any imminent financial threats. I'd love to see a change at the top but I don't think we have the assets to attract the right calibre to come in and drag things in the right direction either on or off the pitch. It's a strange situation and it feels almost like we've got to a point where it'll take a further deterioration before there's a reaction. We're not going in an upward direction any time soon based on our current situation and I would worry about how bad it has to get before the people at the top recognise the desperate need for change.

I can tell you from first-hand experience that Ryan is a very accomplished operator.

During COVID the club has operated with a skeleton staff (even by City's threadbare standards!) and he has been liaising with the EFL and having to adapt to constantly moving safeguarding goalposts.

In the absence of staff, he's taken on additional commercial duties. He's secured many new 5 and 6 figure deals which have substantially increased commercial revenues year on year. All at a time when other clubs are losing commercial partners. JCT and Bradford College are just a couple of major deals secured. Just review the social media feeds to see some of the new sponsor's that have been signed up.

He also chairs the Supporters Group meetings. Feel free to attend the next one and I'm sure you'll be reassured after meeting him in person.

Championship all the way to the days of Jacko and flirting with relegation before getting lucky and appointing Parky. He’s done a lot for City but my opinion is he’s yesterday’s man. There are dozens of alternatives for entertainment these days and City need to stand out as an offering, they’re still doing the same things they were a decade ago for their match day offering. Have a look at baseball, T20 and other sports for how they do it. Have a look at Accrington. He’s probably good at steadying the ship but after nearly two decades at City he gives me the impression of lacking any vision for the future.

Thanks. That's what I meant :) But he also goes to Supporters Group meetings and chaired the recent 'Virtual One' during the lockdown
