They appointed David Flitcroft has DoF and it seems he’s doing a pretty decent job. They’ve managed to sell a couple of players by the looks of things with the money being reinvested on upgrades and it also looks like they’ve got rid of a some of the deadwood with mutual agreements.
Funny what you can do with a decent owner and CEO.

 

If you have a supportive owner, a good CEO, and a quality DoF, you've basically got everything in place to succeed at this level. You just need your manager/coach and to work together to assemble a squad.

As it is, we have a disinterested owner, a CEO that is learning the job, and no Director of Football OR any football experts whatsoever at the club. We have, therefore, put ALL expectations on the manager.

Weird one with Simon Weaver, not sure how seriously the football world takes him given he is seemingly in an un-sackable job. Had 600 games at Harrogate with a 41% win percentage, but i remember when the Sheff Weds job came up last season, he was linked by the bookies as he's from their academy originally and a SW fan. But the chairman said in 12 years, Weaver hadn't had one inquiry from any club to try and speak to Weaver about moving on.

 

I didn’t know any of that. Like you say no need for him to leave and he’s doing a dendritic job really if you consider the size of club he’s managing.

Would have happened by now if we had owt about us, even knowing that he is serving 4 match ban, got to take risks sometimes....

 

Yeah but we can save on his wages during that time. More important than assimilating into the squad and getting his fitness up to meet the clubs requirements.
