As a player yes, as a man dedicated to the club he loved and always giving 100% then Hanson wins hands down. Hanson is a legend. Wyke was a bit part who shot off as soon as someone offered him more.

 

Don't forget Gordon Watson. If that two hat terrier hadn't effectively broken him in two he would have been talked about in the same breathe as Bobby Campbell.

 

If you use that argument though then John McGinlay would be high up in the rankings.

We can only go by what they did for Bradford City, not by what they did before or after and using that logic Lee Mills is in a different stratosphere to Ashley Ward.

Watson was class and potentially better than both Mills and Ward.

If the rumours were true namely jagger was bedding Mrs Mills on the sly, then he had no choice really.

 

Jimmy Quinn was several classes above Charlie Wyke

 

Don't disagree, but you have to factor in the quality of the city teams they played in. And on that front, Mills had about 15 goals as a head start.

Mark Howard has singed a new contract until the end of the season with Carlisle, so can scrap that one.

Freddy Ladapo has just handed a transfer request in at Rotherham, not sure if he's going higher or he wants more first team football. Not sure if Adams originally signed him from Plymouth or not.

 

Mills was twice what Charlie Wyke will ever be. No disrespect to the lad but chalk and cheese.

 

He'd be a very good signing at this level but he's definitely not dropping a division. There's more chance of a championship side taking a punt on him I'd guess.

 

His strike record before joining us didn't really suggest much but he did look good when he first joined.

I can't go along with him being potentially better than Mills but I wouldn't have been surprised to see him go on to become an excellent signing.

Putting him in the same breath as Bobby though? Come on, that's more than stretching it a bit.
