Most likely. Think it depends on the new manager at Ipswich if Norwood stays or not. Didn't play under Cook because he plays 1 up top and signed 4 strikers in the summer, just knocked down the pecking order along with Kayden Jackson. McGreal (caretaker) has said he wants to use Norwood if he got the role. Neil Harris is the favourite at the minute and plays a 442 long ball style, so might well need some of these strikers to stay around.

Wouldn't be surprised if they move on one of Jackson or Norwood just due to having so many forwards at the club. Norwood during his court appearances in the summer disclosed he makes £4,100 a week, Ipswich paper said Jackson is on £3,000 a week. Think both would have to take a sizeable cut to drop to L2, unless you can work out a loan with shared wages.

And that's why he won't work here we need a guy who can work up top on his own so fans trying to figure out effective partnerships doesn't make much sense right now maybe when Adams goes but not now

Adams has played 2 up front in a number of games this year. Mostly when he's gone 5 at the back but has also played a 4 4 2 in at least one game.

I think that if we had a decent partnership to play there Adams would be more than open to finding a system that works for them. We've seen a number of formation switches already this year so he's now than happy to switch the systems to suit whatever he believes works best for us.

 

A player I was hoping we would look to sign from Leeds in the summer, Robbie Gotts, impressing for Barrow tonight in the cup.

A cheeky bid for him would be welcome by me in January.

The fans didn't really get chance to form an opinion on Stevens as he was barely played. Did he actually start a game?

Patience is needed for all young players, including the likes of Elliott Watt.

It seems silly to me to faun over players like Robbie Gotts if we wouldn't give him time to develop.

Adams is probably right not to play kids who aren't ready given the intense pressure and focus on promotion asap among the fan base. We can't have it all ways.

 

I was definitely in the camp of not being bothered when Stevens left, merely, rightly or wrongly that I had not seen enough of him to form a proper opinion. He only started 1 game, thanks @JonButterfield for that stat.

Robbie Gotts actually impressed me most last night. A work colleague watches most of Leeds' under 23 matches and was always raving about this lad.

I wonder whether Barrow would be able to resist a decent offer for him in January should we be interested in Gotts

 

Is he that good I notice Gotts is older than Watt are you thinking if we sell Watt sign Gotts honestly I don't know that lad from Leeds but I hope we keep Watt myself
