Banks would be a good signing I think, in terms of having quality at this level and improving an area we are weak in.

A striker is still make or break for us this season though. For the most part we've created a decent number of chances but obviously haven't had anyone to finish them. So whilst signings like Walker and Banks (if it happens) would improve the squad and XI, we need a good quality striker to turn draws into wins.

Hopefully goals from midfield though we haven’t had many this season

Or the last 20 years. Off top of my head only Syers and Marshall chipped in from MF.

Cookes goal scoring record is atrocious. 4 goals in 80 games at L2 level. Simply not good enough for an AM.

Played well against Everton in the Cup, crossing for Palin to score if I remember it correctly.

Funny loads of people will go mad if we don't sign Charman, even though it's never actually been confirmed we are even after him. He might just not be in for him and he ends up like Orsi, who everyone was crying we apparently couldn't beat Harrogate for the signature of but has now been loaned out to Borehamwood as he's not good enough for League 2.

If he goes and scores a hat full at Boreham Wood, will Harrogate Town fans lose their minds like some of ours did with Crankshaw?

    Signed on loan.

We are delighted to announce the signing of highly-rated Huddersfield Town midfielder Matthew Daly, on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 20-year-old crosses West Yorkshire to arrive at the Utilita Energy Stadium, having spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Hartlepool United.

Compatible in a number of attacking positions, Daly began his career in the Everton academy before signing for the Terriers in 2015.

The former England youth international made his Premier League debut for Huddersfield in April 2019, scoring his first goal in blue and white later that calendar year. He has turned out 27 times for Pools this season, netting on seven occasions.

He said: “It feels great to be here. I am really glad to get it over the line and hope we can step forward now with everything in the league, and in the games coming up.

“I really needed the experience at Hartlepool. With it being my first loan, it has made me a better player, and hopefully now I can take that to the next level here.

“I have trained already and it was at a real high intensity. The standard was up there, I enjoyed it and it has been a good first day for me.

“My game is about goals and assists, and that is what the gaffer wants from me, getting in the box. Hopefully, I can do that and help the team be successful this season.”

City manager Derek Adams said: “Matty is a player we have been tracking for a while. He was on our list and we have monitored him during his spell on loan at Hartlepool United, so it is great to have him arrive.

“We have been looking for midfield players to bring in who can contribute with goals and assists, and we are confident in Matty’s ability to do this, alongside fellow loan signings Dion Pereira and Jamie Walker.

“He is very attack minded, with seven goals from midfield so far this season, and can play in a number of different positions.

“Matty has played professionally in the Premier League for Huddersfield Town and we are glad they have decided Bradford City is the best place for him to continue his development. Hopefully, he can continue to kick on and be a success for us.”

Daly will wear No.25 for the Bantams and be sponsored by Human Relief Foundation. His signing is subject to the relevant EFL and FA clearances.

He went on some crazy goal scoring run from what I remember, almost breaking somesort of record. Lucky enough to meet him in the players lounge after a game. Odd looking fella. Head shaped like Kryton from Red Dwarf.

WHERE THE HELL WAS MY 1903 CLUB ADVANCED EMAIL?!

Good signing! Surely now we can get rid of Evans/sell Watt/sell Cooke.
