An example of how you identity a position you need to strengthen, prioritise your targets then act accordingly. No excuses, transfer done.

Frankly, if the club aren’t able to recruit better players than the ones who’ve taken this team to the lofty heights of mid table league 2, then we should all pack up and go home.

Getting time?he hasn’t had half a season. He has had one transfer window. I have been critical of him and his abrasive manner and some of his decisions but he is a proven manager at this level and it would be utter folly to get rid now

So far he should have been sent off, flapped at crosses, cost us a goal against Sutton, failed to command his area from more crosses, but the usual suspects haven't been giving him grief for any of them for the simple reason that he's not Richard O'Donnell.

ROD is a clear example of an average League Two player being made out to be abysmal just because he's been here for three years, and therefore we can see his weaknesses.

Hornby, meanwhile, gets off the hook simply because he's less well known.

The best partnership I have ever witnessed up front for BCAFC, considering the Division we were in at the time, Mills and Blake. There were other partnerships, some purely nostalgic, all in different ways, did a job for us. I am not going to name any , but these two were literally and actually in a different league to the rest. I think their performance at Wolves away to clinch promotion will be the best I will witness in my lifetime. The game is well worth a repeat watch now and again to keep up the spirits Dave.

VP is actually a great setting for this sort of thing. We have some decent function rooms, we can cater and there's reasonable parking on site or nearby for the sort of numbers attending such events. We need to do more of this sort of stuff. Fair play to the club for openly supporting inclusive topics too.

The publicity the owners have inspired has paid for the likes of Palmer and Paul Mullin, international sponsors like Tiktok and a TV series worth hundreds of thousands. I say good luck to them, we could only dream of having such wealthy and ambitious owners.

There's always been someone thinking we should hire Steve Evans lol

The guy is a loser but there's been a weird fascination with him ever since he flapped his arms wildly and begged for every foul in the Parky days

    Awful manager. Awful man.

I have said most of the season that Canavan has been poor. I can't believe we actually got a fee for him. Good bit of business that

If he’s been so poor then why the issue of getting rid ????
Shove Staunton in now and let him see the season out ............. I mean if he has a future at the club then surly now is the time to let him have a decent run at it

We aren't friends with anyone other than maybe Huddersfield.

When you pack your club with non-footballing personnel, you'll find you don't have many footballing links...

If anybody is even suggesting Canavan is leaving due to footballing reasons then you’re strongly mistaken and heavily deluded.

Mr Stubborn would absolutely not sell the man he made captain a matter of months ago. The fact is even the gaffer’s main man has stuck 2 fingers up at him, his dire football and continuously throwing his players under the bus because he’s not man enough to admit his own mistakes.

Adam’s needs to get the f*ck out of our club

    Hahaha Luke Hendrie.

The most predictable, lazy signing we could've made. Absolute joke this club.

How does replacing Sparks make a difference on the field? He’s appointed the right man in Adams, and so far as I can tell is making the right moves regards bringing extra revenue in.

He’s also made all the right noises about not tolerating mediocrity and changing the culture at the club.

Ryan is answerable to Rupp. If Rupp says I’m not putting any money in, you have to be self sufficient the Sparks has a choice, follow Stefan’s instructions, resign or ignore them and get fired. Any CEO would be in the same position.

What’s let City down is the recruitment, whether that’s Turnbull or Adams, it’s been shocking. The fact that Turnbull has gone, Ryan’s decision, suggests the cause of that.

Ryan’s made mistakes, but your continued ranting about him without any substantive reasons other than some bullshit about dancers and his experience gives you less credibility than usual.

Changing the CEO might make a small difference, but Ryan seems to be doing ok. As for learning on the job, I’ve been doing my job at varying levels of seniority for over 20 years and I’m still learning new things. If I wasn’t I would be failing.

Before that we had Julian Rhodes. Steady pair of hands but you only need to look at the changes Sparks has made to see how uninspiring he was.

Replace Ryan and you still have the same problems, absent owner, expensive stadium, league two football and need to bring in more money. Ryan has experienced people around him and as irritating as he can be with his management buzzwords, he’s not an idiot. It’s the owner than needs to change.

As for bringing in money. There was a new commercial deal every week for a while, they might not be on the scale of a Man Utd deal with Adidas but they’re not going to the making the situation worse are they? If we needed to sell Crankshaw to balance the books, then hopefully Stefan we see his mistake, but without those deals Longo and Sparks have done, it might have been worse, it’s not going to have been better is it?

Adams isn’t getting results, but he knows how to run the sporting side of a football club, and that’s a good thing. Ryan was too naive or optimistic with his promotion or failure line, we all know it was to sell season tickets, but when Derek goes he’ll leave City a better set up than when he arrived. I want promotion this season, but it’s not happening. I’m confident of it next season though.

The club is better off the field than it has been in years, I think that will translate on to the pitch sooner or later. Changing Adams and Sparks isn’t the right thing to do today. It might be tomorrow but first we need rid of Stefan Rupp.

Thankfully our lad Hunter from WAGMI raised $2million with Shaq so I think we're in good stead for this window! Especially since they said they're looking to splash the cash to get us promoted :snigger:

    Oh...

Maybe Parker and Yorkshire Post can summon Custodian Captor Rupp from the shadows again. Has he said anything about spending in January or is he more focused on this "legal action"? I'm sure the higher ups have us in for a treat this coming month - maybe we'll sell Vernam for five figures just like we did Crankshaw, it should cover the 30k Rupp's going to take out for the great level of consultancy he's offered us this month. Personally, I'm looking forward to another piss poor player from a struggling L2 side to join us, or maybe even a benchwarmer from a midtable team if we're lucky. I'm sure the strategy of signing shit injury prone players and expecting them to turn good just because they play for the best supported side in the lower divisions will work this time.

Aye. Let's get rid of the only bloke we have that can pass a ball.

    Makes sense.
