Which is why we’ll use up all our money on signing him.

Gary Jones was 36 years old in the 13/14 season when his legs had clearly gone. No comparison.

And I know God loves a tryer, and he really does his all, but apart from that, I don’t think he has another skill set. Can’t cross, can’t shoot. I’d rather spend our money elsewhere if we’re being put over a barrel.

He was head and shoulders the best player on the field yesterday. The fact that Cheltenham were frightened to death of him showed his value

But the end result was? People were scared of Brunker. He ran around a lot too.
Yes he’s a good outlet, and he puts the effort in, but someone who could cross the ball would be so much more effective in his position.

I guess it all boils down to wonga. How much of it is about in the MLS compared to League Two? I genuinely have no idea how big the MLS is these days other than Donovon Ricketts ended up over there?

Connolly can be a bit of a headless chicken at times and his crossing his poor - often fails to get off the floor. That said, his pace terrifies the opposition and his desire and work rate is second to none in this side - he's always geeing up the crowd. I'd be disappointed to lose him but if Wimbledon receive a cash offer then I guess we can't do much. I don't think we could justify paying a fee to make the deal permanent ourselves, though I'd take him on a free.

This is league two so we are going to have to welcome a few rough diamonds into the fold. When you think of some of our crap, Connolly is actually a good player and his pace is a great outlet.

You've just described Dylan Connolly perfectly.

Or Omar Daley. A typical League Two winger - pace to burn but the minute they wind up to cross you shut your eyes and pray it finds the striker.

If Rupp was genuine about backing us financially then he'd put forwards the cash for Ollie Palmer now we've sold Doyle

There mustn't have been a recall window in Connolly's deal. I can't see us agreeing to one this late in the window that's for sure.

We need to be careful we get the right characters into our club. Just found this on wiki

    Crawley TownEdit
Palmer signed for fellow League Two club Crawley Town on 27 June 2018 on a two-year contract for a nominal fee.[30] In February 2019, Palmer apologised after he and teammate Dominic Poleon posted a video online mocking Crawley's training facilities and teammates.[31]

Dominic Poleon he was a roaring success here!, not!, We need players who can put there shoulder to the wheel and support other players as well as the club! On the plus side he is just the type of striker that GB would like.

he probably just pipped AOC to MOTM last night but wasn't head and shoulder the best player of the pitch. I love your enthusiasm (and Connolly's) but I didn't see a frightened team last night. He shows willing and effort plus he has pace but I'm still not convinced that he's a good player. He's ok, a 6 or 7/10 player every week which is good.

Wouldn't lose any sleep if Wimbledon recalled him and he left.
