We'll have £150 million when we sell Doyle to Swindon.

Salford gone about it the right way. Sussed out the league in the first half, now they must realise that it is a poor league standard wise, so will really go for it this window and look to get out of this league at the first attempt, which is well within their grasp

You see this would be a viable defence of Bowyer if the players making up the other 60% of that budget from last season were all shite. But they're not. O'Connor, O'Donnell, Wood, Reeves, Doyle are all first names on the team sheet in their respective positions when fit, so this idea that he's hampered with players he doesn't want is a nonsense deflection tactic from Sparks. He inherited players who had a poor L1 season for a number of reasons but they are showing they're very good L2 players, with the exception of one or two. Granted he's stuck with Akpan who he may or may not want but he also re-signed Anderson and Devine - are they in this 60%? If so he's only got himself to blame hasn't he.

And tellingly, of the three players who have left since the start of the season, two (Longridge and Hornby) are HIS signings which he clearly wasted funds on.

With Yates going back to Rotherham I wonder if our friends from Swindon will do the crazy ex girlfriend stuff on the millers forum.

You'll never love or understand him like we do!! :sob::sob::sob:

I bet he'll score more for Swindon before the end of the season than Doyle will for us.

You could do a lot worse than Woolery, I quite like him. (Very) Quick, strong, can get his head on the ball and is a grafter. His speed will see him get on a lot of balls hoofed forward and he scares defenders when he runs at them. He makes an excellent impact sub when opposition defendersa are tired. Did I sayhe's very quick? (I mean, really bloody quick).

Does a lot right but can be frustrating, and I think we should be having an eye on preparing for L1 now. If only he had more of an end-product he could be a Championship player. He tends to fluff his lines in front of goal and can't cross. Not sure he'd be able to make the step up but is still a good L2 attacking player.

Hopefully, JR remembered to agree a recall period with Posh in the loan agreement for Cooke as Swindon did in the Doyle agreement and it has now lapsed. I trust he hasn't left it until 31 Jan and we have no time in which to recruit a replacement! That same comment applies to the agreement with the Wombles for Connolly and others.

If we haven't protected ourselves and have allowed others to recall their players up until the 31st we really are a tinpot outfit!

He is pretending the first and second quarters of the season still represent our form despite the fact we're now slipping down the table and no longer have a valid claim to seventh based on points averages and games in hand.

It's nice to pretend we're playing well and every move we make is the right one.

    Ignorance is bliss!

Do you really seriously believe this Park?

We are in seventh place by the skin of our teeth with a poor goal difference, clubs behind having games in hand, and near the bottom of the current form league. We are creating tiny numbers of chances, missing most of them, and our previously watertight defence is now leaking like a sieve.
If we carry on our form of the last two months we'll be well out of the playoff places and automatic promotion a complete no hope.
Just how bad does our current form have to be before you can see that we're struggling?

There’s quite a lot on here complaining about the release of Doyle and Vaughan, but Doyle in particular hasn’t scored for us this season, so keeping him is as bad as having Omari Patrick. There’s only been a couple of managers who’ve brought the best out of him, so Bowyer is not alone in failing.

As for Vaughan, shows the character of the man who was happy to sign a 3 year deal only to change his mind 6 months later.

The club need to look at its whole recruitment set up though. Not since Parky has any due diligence been done. Invest in this area or continue to repeat the same mistakes, time and time again.

Maybe we are hoping he will neutralise their midfield and make them ineffective with all that sideways passing?

We have what we have now and it's up to GB to knuckle down and get results. I have my doubts but if that's what the powers that be have deemed, let them fall on their swords if we do fail.

I know it’s a long shot but what happens if we get the best out of Guthrie why don’t we wait and see
