LOL!! We got an apology for the Swindon one and we'll be getting the same for the Rochdale one.

If this is the biggest criticism of Halliday, I'll take that.

I'm not a fan of the diamond formation, never have been. Like has been said I like my defenders to primarily defend and see our problems as midfield based. That said, can't hurt to have a decent left back, I just hope Hughes isn't hoping for the creativity to come from the ful backs.

Gent will be the one bringing the players in, I'd be surprised if Hughes has had much input

One thing that recent successful L2 teams have had in common - attacking full backs. I get your point, but unless we're playing 4-4-2 - then it's inevitable that the full backs have to do more.

Im hoping the low key loans are meaning we are paying little towards wages and pumping resources into signing a CM……but I fully expect I’m gonna be left disappointed

Can't disagree with that. When Foulds first came into the team I thought he would really kick on. Sadly he seems to have gone backwards

I can see why he's signed him, Headley for Harrogate showed what a threat an attacking full back can be. But if Hughes stays with that central midfield we won't get promoted.

Let's hope so, for a team now playing a formation without wingers, we seem to have bloody lot of them.

It’s like January 2007 again with a stack of loan players to try and keep us up after losing Doyle, Windass and Johnson. They were a bunch of half hearted disinterested players who succumbed to a miserable relegation. Fans are actually saying we’ve done well this window by getting our players early. We’ve signed a veteran striker who’s spent the last few years in Cyprus and India and currently not fit enough for the bench,a couple of untried kids on loan ,an Irish defender whom supporters of his team can’t believe he’s got a contract at an EFL club and now another loanee left back to compete with our two existing left backs. We’ve midfield players who don’t score goals, stacks of wingers who also don’t score goals and a leading scorer who is now on the bench. It’s becoming a scattergun shambles of transfer activity and Stoke fans warned that this is what Hughes does.

And, not forgetting, our own promising youngster who, despite being in the wilderness for months, remains our second leading goal scorer, and has been despatched to our League Two rivals. Evidently, he'll improve our promotion prospects if his goals help Barrow beat other promotion chasers!

Stoke fans are moaning about a manager that took them to their highest position for 40 years, 9th in the PL, for three consecutive seasons?

It shows that moaning fans, know just one thing, how to moan.

We now make transfers for an eye on the future. Of course you can always find a couple of fans, from a former club, who think a player isn't worth the chance. But unless we invest in younger talent, we won't be able to move to less chaotic transfer activities.

For some the fan seems damned when they do and damned when they don't

He'll certainly improve his value as an asset if he's as succesful as you suggest.

I'm merely disagreeing with your negativity about the loan.

He isn't fitting in to what Hughes wants. So out he goes on loan. It's irrelevant to where, if he comes back a better player.

Only Bantams could see negativity in a situation countless other clubs do, every transfer window.

One thing I've noted a bit in this window - there's a few clubs paying "undisclosed fees" for players. More than I seem to recall preciously. Now it may just be £100 here and there but it's seems to being reported more than I remember.

We're not used to developing players near the first team.

We're used to either having back up players who we need at the club in case of injury, OR, 18 year olds going to Farsley Celtic or BPA and never coming back improved.

Or just wasting time in poorly conceived development squads.
