A lot of sides play the 4-2-3-1, it's as normal these days as 4-4-2 was years ago. And part of that formation is that the wide players of the three cut in off the wing to shoot. It's one of the commonest ways of scoring these days, especially with the lone striker.

 

Lots of teams playing it in Qatar.

 

We don’t have anyone fast enough to take it down To the byline and cross. If you do it right it is lethal.

 

Plan for next year and stop giving two year contracts to players who aren't good enough !!

 

A couple of comments I want to offer.
Reading here and elsewhere on the site, people suggesting we need to ship a few out but we’ll never get takers. If this window is so heavily in favour of the “selling” team, we should be able to get rid of a few, after all I seem to remember a team buying Kurtis Guthrie as the window was shutting .
But more worryingly for me, is the number of posters thinking things will improve when Crichlow comes back. I’m sure they will but who’s to say he won’t get recalled by Huddersfield? Then we’d be in a bit of a quandary.

 

I agree Dennis and I also edited my post to get the spelling right too . That said, I did forget about Banks and Wright. I dread to think what would happen if all 3 got re-called.

 

You are right but I cannot see any of the three being recalled back to sit in the parent club B sides squad?

 

I’m as sure as I can be that the parent club would keep their players in a side in the top echelons of a league they are loaned in . As long as the loanee club are willing to pick up the tab. Huddersfield may think twice, especially after Harratts escapades?

 

I suspect the real reason Critchlow isn't playing is because he is going to be recalled on 1st January.

That makes no sense. You’d only stop us from playing him if you were going to start him at his parent club or sell him.

if you are loaning him out elsewhere he risks injury just as he does here.

 

Sparkie said in a recent post match interview Critchlow will be out a few weeks I don't think Sparkie would be giving Songo'o or Odusina a game if the lad was fit.

 

Like I said. Don't hold your breathe. I might be wrong but I don't think we'll see him in a city shirt again. He will be back at Huddersfield getting treatment and in their team come new years day.

 

Chritclow is nowhere near ready for the championship, especially at a team at the bottom of the league fighting to stay up.
That does not mean they wont recall him and move him up to league 1 though.

Absolutely no need to do that. He’s developing well here and it’s not as if we are bottom half getting panned every week.
