This must be a very complicated transfer the length it’s taking. was it submitted in time if so it’s yes if not no. Unless the decision has already been made and City are appealing it

 

I took it as they needed to name the PL squad at 2300 hrs last night. Could be wrong of course?

 

Absolutely, if it’s anything to go by , it would release another player to keep their squad within limits. I don’t think anyone thought he was coming to us….. Well perhaps some dreamboats might?

 

If we have managed to secure an 11th hour signing, you just know after all the hype and wait, it's going to turn out to be the most underwhelming business of the window. It will be an 18 year kid nobody has heard of and has missed the last 6 months through injury!

fair comment, however this thread is 102 pages long and counting. I’m sure I can be forgiven for not having the time to read every page

 

I read that the OB loan, also included a future purchase figure, and that’s what is holding everything up. Think it was 21m.

Call me fickle, but I can’t help thinking this EFL thing is all made up, to make it look like we’re trying at all costs to do business, but ultimately face the injustice of being turned down and left with a load of players signed that don’t make any improvement. The one that got away and all that. Happens every season.

 

It was a 6PM deadline today to submit the PL squad lists, Forest completed the signing of Andrew Ayew and officially didn't register Lewis O'Brien, so he's having a very fun next 6 months.

 

Honestly, I could Imagine this being the case. I feel like we are fed a fair amount of shite, probably the same at most clubs...

 

Wouldn’t the EFL just go public and say we don’t have a clue what Bradford City are going on about as we haven’t been notified about a late signing, thus making Sparks look a total spoon.

we were due to loan a blackburn player if rovers got lewis obrien in on loan from forest, but the latter deal wasnt registered before deadline, so our loan then also fell through?

 

I'm pretty sure the EFL would have something to say about it if it wasn't true.

Thanks Jordan, I wasn’t quite sure. He’s going to be mighty razzed off if the move is vetoed!

 

Us and Blackburn were the only two clubs waiting on a decision from the EFL, I don't think there was a link other than that. If there was, you'd think we would have heard around the same time Blackburn did that the deal was off.

 

Have I missed something?

What's the attempted loan of O'Brien from Forest to Blackburn to do with us?
