We'd be silly going into next season with Walker, Chapman and Pattison as our attacking midfield options.

It's already failed us once.

I'd look to offload two of them.

Yes I know, but if you go back year on year beyond that (assume you would have noticed when checking the stats you quoted, but didn't mention?) it makes for very grim reading - 23, 29, 8 & 4 appearances respectively - and as mentioned by fans of his previous clubs, a fantastic player IF kept fit...

Yeah I've seen it Steve, soccerbase figures are slightly higher as I suspect yours are only league appearances but what it doesn't tell you is if Pattison was injured or just not selected, bearing in mind he was young and inexperienced at the time. I'm not sure where I'd be able to check that if I'm honest.

Those early years may have been similar to Bobby Pointon who has only made 15 league appearances this season but to my knowledge has been fit and available for every one.

I don't know the answer btw Steve, if he has always been picking up lengthy injuries throughout his career then fair enough but looking at the stats it does feel a bit like a BT rumour accepted as fact rather than the reality.

 

The common use of the phrase sick note . Didn’t match the reality Steve . For a midfielder oft targeted , we all seem to agree on that, it’s a tad unintentionally misleading . Look at other midfielders through the divisions and Prem ? They do suffer from absences, and not because they are a form of sick note in the sense that is being portrayed .

Not looked on soccerbase before, dare I say it I always find wikipedia is usually generally accurate for the odd stats

 

Only one Chapman . He’s completely flattered to deceive when being given the opportunity . I’m sure there is more to come from Pattison .

 

Clearly has talent but shown only glimpses in his time here. The more consistent showing of that talent denotes generally which division you end up in at the prime of your career.

 

Pattison for me should be deeper, alongside a holding midfielder. There's a reason he was labelled as the best country attacking midfielder in the league by his old boss and we saw it for ourselves at the beginning of the season.

It’s a joke that our physio team didn’t see this. It’s a joke that our transfer guru didn’t put something in place for a long term injury. We haven’t won much without Walker have we? Would have been sensible to sign a replacement for him, as the replacement we did sign for him is also injured. The planning of this club is so short sided.

Had a hairline fracture never picked up during scans he’s had and snapped whilst training

 

I think Ryan only said fracture rather than a break, if it is a fracture then depending on the severity it could only another month out or it could be looking at past Easter.

 

I was told couple of days ago it’s a break from someone who is good friends with him

 

We need to get rid in the summer. Struggle to get 20 games a season out of him. Waste of a wage. Decent player but never on the pitch to get the benefits.

 

I’d put it down to the pitch being the problem we have so many injuries
