    We scraped survival during league 2 for varying reasons.
    1. Personal investment from lawn/Rhodes
    2. Unprecedented cup runs
    3. Shrewd / lucky transfer business
    4. Feelgood factor when SM returned for 1st season in league 2 when we sold 12000 season tickets.

    Without all that we’d be playing Eccy United now

    1. What makes you think Rupp won't do the same?

    2. We had one very good cup run in 5 years whilst in League 2

    3. Who's to say that Hopkin won't be as shrewd as Parky was in transfer market

    4. Still think we would get at least the 12000 figure you quote, if we get relegated

    Probably not at this precise time but like I said, relegation means less income but costs remain same. That’s when the issues start

    Rent does but wages will reduce and thus HMRC. Of all the creditors the pension fund will be the last to put for admin as that leaves them in a position where they have no negotiate with new owners for a new lease or are left with no tenant.

    Financial life in Div 2 will certainly become more difficult than it is now. But if the VP rent (which we've been paying without too many problems since 2004) is your only substantive argument for the owners placing the club in Administration, I suggest you stop digging. It's a minor blip compared to how much the owners would lose of their original purchase price if they placed to club in Administration. And whatever we might think of the owners, they aren't stupid.

    Yes they aren’t stupid by trying to protect their original investment by throwing good money after bad like a gambler feeding the machines trying to win their lost tenner back.

    Despite our differing opinions on the above. Still don't get why you and others think admin will be on the cards if we get relegated. Despite what we think of the owners, Rupp is far wealthier than Rhodes and Lawn combined, and don't see how a businessman such as he would allow us to go down that route, doesn't make sense to me

    Actually I think the ‘management’ of Rahic has been exceptionally poor in the last 18 months and that the antecedents were there before that. Rupp seems to have blithely allowed this to happen, taken his eye off the project so to speak, perhaps influenced by the initial season feel good factor. So perhaps not ‘stupid’, but ultimately it is their behaviour, which has allowed this situation to develop, it goes back to the men at the top and percolates down through their actions.
