He is at this level tbf, he gets less effective as he goes up the leagues. But at league 2, I’d say it’s a fair assessment. It’s all relative.

 

I think that sums it up really.

 

Trying to claim some sort of upper hand because you're a better footballer than Guthrie is like pol pot discussing Hitlers crimes and claiming he was the most humanitarian out of the pair.

 

His professional career was not helped by Phil Parkinson and his medical people, rarely did he enter the field without having an injection in his back.
Parky quoting a 70% fit James Hanson would be one of the first names on his starting 11 team sheet, rarely was he 100% during his time under Parky.

 

Let’s hope he can do enough to keep Avenue in the division.

 

Done well to get another league club I reckon. Not had much luck with injury in the last couple of years.

I’ve a feeling we’ll be seeing more players with that type of presence this season. Kai and Hanson up front would be Park’s wet dream.

That's a good £5M POUND question,he did nothing at Huddersfield and zilch at BURNLEY. So that's as I said, done nothing since he left City.

 

I suggest you look up his playing career. He's a proven Championship striker and has succeeded without James Hanson next to him.

41 games is pushing the "form" excuse a little far though

 

Keeping well away mate, all water under the bridge there are two groups and they see things totaly different, it doesn't make either groupe wrong.

 

Cook should have retired a year or two ago as he's averaging about 15 over the last year, like Hanson should have gone to Millwall 18 months before as his goals more or less dried up. I can see the similarities.

He also played in some bloody awful City teams for several years before Parky turned us around. As a big target man he was heavily reliant on service from others and the service he got was often awful. He also ran himself into the ground for PP, as the first line of defence, often pumped full of painkillers, thereby exacerbating his injury problems and reducing his mobility. This clearly affected his performances in his last couple of seasons with us.
When fit and in decent teams he did the business for us.
