    Except your particular version of the facts always neglected to factor in that Hanson was a) older and b) quite obviously physically wrecked, when he went on his long goalless run. Whereas Kurtis Guthrie was a) in his mid 20s, b) physically fine and c) had never in his career had anything like Hanson's goalscoring record when he was younger and still fit.

    As you say, some people don't like facts when they don't back up their own particular point of view.

    Presence is a popular term in football used to describe tall, non scoring Centre Forwards who possess very little footballing ability, which often results in them running around like headless chickens barging into opposition players left, right and centre. Basically think Kai Bruenker. These players have very little talent but get lauded by your Park Bantams for "being a nuisance" or "running themselves into the ground", when in reality they've made a net contribution of *@?$ all.

    He had ups and downs with us but overall we got fantastic value with James Hanson we should all wish him well

    Have to agree, was never one to get into the Hanson debate on C & B, will always class him as a legend for his time here, but felt like it was time for him to move on a bit like Alistair Cook. His move to Sheff Utd was good for all parties. However when people like that dismiss others achievements and put them down too him, it's a bit ott.

    Big Jim scored goals for our club that any other of centre forwards could only dream of
