People going on about getting rid to get funds into the transfer window :) fook me we could get £1 million in for him and i still wouldnt trust that lot to get it right and there lies the real problem in all this .............. we let Young on his way a player with a bit of potential but happy to give Derbyshire a 18 month deal on probably more money than Young :( now whoever let that deal go through needs to be held accountable i mean how many injury prone players or over the hill players do we need ???? How many more poor loan signings do we need in ?????

Still lets hope they somehow pull something out of the window but i aint holding my breath it will be a couple of piss poor loan deals and maybe a player thats struggling to get a game at Hartlepool.

Whatever went on Hughes made it clear that Young wasn't part of his plans so the 3 options for the club at that point are:
    1) Back the manager
    2) Sack the manager
    3) Tell the manager he's not being allowed to leave and he must play him.

I struggle to believe that anyone would pick option 2 or 3. The manager made his decision and the club had to back him, this was on the back of Young going to loan at Barrow and scoring 0 goals.

Very good. However, we all read it and the story now implies “Young is fiddling while Rome burns” Silently altering the text is poor tbh.

The club not backing Young saying he was at the game and had a minor injury the manager and player did not want to risk and thereby leaving him to the wolves shows how poor the club is run and also why Young given a chance will get out of this club without regret.

Last night for the first time in my life I’ve given up with the club. The pitch is shocking, players are awful, manager brings an OAP on when we are chasing a game and the defence opens up like Moses Red Sea. Rupp is busy worrying about his cars and Sparks is completely and utterly clueless. The club is desperate for new ownership with good footballing people behind the scenes but who would go near us!?

BTW Those going on about the price Young could fetch must remember it will go in helping Rupps running costs not investment in the club so is of little interest to the fans on improving the team

In all honesty all lot of them did give up on them :( and you cannot blame folk for doing the same with us ...........cheap tickets or not they simply deserve better we aint talking walking the league we are simply looking at some kind of structure a vision of where its going, sadly we simply dont have that its simply based on us simply getting lucky.
If we have got a top 5 budget then at the least we should be aiming for the playoffs, but year upon year we are being outdone by teams with far small budgets Stevenage last year and Barrow this term i mean Barrow aint my cup of tea to watch but at least they have a structure we dont.

I would rather be getting battered at Man City than embarrassed at home against Creepy though.

It’s the worst pitch in the EFL but wait……it’s been renovated with PL fibre sand and state of the art drainage.
Wait until the snow and frost gets to it in February.

We are desperate for new ownership and if that doesn’t come soon then maybe the fans need to step up with a fan led buyout.

regarding the Jake Young debacle, the club know exactly what’s going on so why not just be transparent with fans. Why the need for secrecy?

    How about
    Option 4
The CEO sits them both down and sorts it out
Fines Young for his outburst and reminds the manger he bought him and to bring out the player HE purchased
Standard man management in my book

Mentioned a fan led buy out before , around the stadium though, and was told no chance, The stadium would probably be bought for a lot less than Herr Rupp apparently wants for the club.

I’ve said it a thousand times on here that the annual running costs of staying at VP are preventing progress on the field. 15000 ST holders are only facilitating the means of playing at VP. How much is left for the playing budget?
There’s always a deficit to clear.
We’d have a better chance of promotion if we shared with Harrogate for a few seasons and left VP empty once the lease is up for renewal.

Wetherby road capacity 5000, now that would be shooting ourselves in the foot. Regaining ownership of VP would save approx £9000 per week. Never understand why Rupp has not tried to buy it, would strengthen his hand in any future sale.

Saying it a thousand times doesn’t make it right. Wisdom is trying very hard to catch up with one but you run too fast . You think HG with a ground capacity of 5k would give us a decent playing budget? Slow down !

It’s the managers call and there weren’t to many fans disagreeing at the time. If both were wrong I will judge at the end of his career he still has a lot to prove

so instead of 15,000 you would have 3,000 ST holders. Rent to pay, at a greatly reduced rate but no income from any of the commercial side that the club have built up. Yep sounds like a cracking plan.

and that is if the league signed off on it. They usually would only do it if it was short term plan with a long term plan in place rather than a hope that Flamingo Land cave and sell on the cheap

it would save that amount in rent but would replace it with some sort of mortgage payment or repayment to one of his companies, so wouldn’t really show any saving
