Jake Young

I am frustrated Young has shown his credentials elsewhere. But Young and Hughes fell out. It wasn't down to Hughes not getting the best out of him or not rating him as a footballer - its just clicked elsewhere. It didn't click at Barrow either. I just wish they could have made amends or Young got another chance.

The positives are we can either recall in January if he keeps this up or sell him for a nice fee.

Be happy. 3pts today. Crewe undefeated so thats a decent win. 2 from 2 at home.

Can take him back In January so let him score against our rivals and then ruin Swindon's season.

 

He is also playing alongside Austin ... a very good tutor and mentor.

Bet hughes still won't admit he's wrong. Flynn said other day he's not even fit yet, seems to be a running theme with our team not looking fit

 

Young always had that moment of brilliance in him that could produce a goal from nothing. It was the rest of his game that needed work as he would go missing for large parts.

But then again, I remember a JPT game last year where Hughes played him at LWB so I don't blame him for wanting out.

 

If he can score 4 goals in 24 minutes, he can sit on his arse and go completely missingfor the rest of the game for all I care.

 

Yeah like he's really gonna want to come back and play under Hughes. It will be the Doyle scenario again.

 

I bet Swindon can't believe their luck. Doyle then Young, they must think we are absolutely bonkers!

 

Let’s just make things clear…. If you work or have worked in your time, would you wish to work for an individual who doesn’t believe in you / someone who doesn’t hold you in high regard??

There is zero chance that Jake Young will return to Bradford City, as fans we must appreciate that when players are spat out by our club and perform later - that is a mistake from us and we must live with the decision.

Nice to have 3 points today but this is in no way promotion form.

 

Ah well.

 

He wont be playing for us again. His city career has been over for a good while.

The best we can hope for is he continues his form and we can get a good fee for him come January. As others have said, he won't want to play for Hughes again and we can't blame him for that.

 

He may not have to if Hughes gets potted.

 

If he continues in the vein he is in, hopefully there will be interest from higher up and we get a decent fee. The last thing we need is to let Swindon take over his contract for peanuts, but we have form where this is concerned so it wouldn't come as a surprise to see that happen.
