Doesn’t his contract expire in the summer?

 

They have a year option they’ll just activate that and either keep him or sell him

 

Obviously not happy with being bottom of the league. However, that's what it has taken for Rupp to wake up and act, and bring in Rhodes and give Rahic the boot. But yes, I am definitely happier and more optimistic about the way the club will now be run, than I was a couple of months ago.

Like you, I am not convinced about Hopkin, but I am happy to stick with him this season, and see how he performs in the second half of the season. I don't think the uncertainty and upheaval another manager change brings, will help our cause to be honest, especially he now has his own assistant in, and January targets in mind

 

Well if they have had enquires then why wouldn’t they extend his contract and sell? Still can’t see it before the summer though.

For us it will depend on where we end up, I can’t see us being in for a player like Jack if we get relegated, if we manage to wriggle free of relegation then I can see us wanting to keep him. I love watching him, good creative player that can score.

 

I think if Wagner decides to leave they will be relegated easily from Prem. Got a very good manager at the min

 

I wonder how much Udders would want for Jack Payne? If Stefan is willing to put some money in would he consider it?

Our defence is still the priority in my view so I reckon Jan window is going to be tricky and we should realise that and not be too down if we don't manage to get everyone we need.

Sure David already knows he is leaving and has been looking for a replacement for some time. Doubt we will find someone as good.

 

A very good point. When is his last 'scheduled' game for us (or season long loan) , ?
Let's hope Hudders give us a fair heads up, should they receive an early bid - To give us time to replace Payne if nothing else.

 

Maybe he could go to Scunny in January and try help them stay up.

 

Why are Huddersfield back tracking on the season loan ?

 

As I said I would use McCarten to get us through January only and look to sign someone else

 

But we could sign someone and the Payne deal collapse leaving us with two players

 

Honestly @Fordy117 you say that like we have never ever bought duff players in the past under different chairmen.

It happens get over it.

 

I wonder if a deal with any remaining Wells monies could be agreed? Although the player would surely want better than a rock bottom L1 club I suppose.
