Potentially irrelevant, I imagine he may get better offers than one from a team destined for league two.

 

And I can not see him wanting to stay

 

Leaves us in a no win situation with possibly very little time to replace him as they will not recall him until they have a deal set up

 

Is OB on a season long loan? If not, maybe they'll make some deal that if Payne is recalled, then OB can be extended.....
Disregard that if he's already here til season end.
And no, I don't think we can afford him. And if we could, I think he'll want to join a team on the up rather than down.

Sure David already knows he is leaving and has been looking for a replacement for some time. Doubt we will find someone as good.

Let's hope Hudders give us a fair heads up, should they receive an early bid - To give us time to replace Payne if nothing else.

 

I don’t think we can wait. If we are not in for Payne, be it he has told us he won’t sign permanently or we can’t afford him, we need someone in at start of the window as Hopkin stated last week.

If not the first thing I’d do is recall McCarten in January 1st. We are in a dire position and can not afford to be a player down and chasing to sign a replacement

McCarten not ideal given his performances first time around but may be a player with some confidence who can get us through a sticky spell

 

Pretty much how I feel, too ...................... Only I wasn't brave enough to suggest McCartans return !

 

The only time I would recall McCarten is if we go down to Div 2 as that's his level.

Going from Payne to McCarten is just a massive backwards step. The club has taken far too many backwards steps hence why we're bottom of the league.

 

Maybe he could go to Scunny in January and try help them stay up.
