The shameless, unbridled feckwittery of some people.

All is calm this morning at RCB's palatial mansion; the butler has served the pre-dinner drinks; the kitchen staff is putting the finishing touches on dinner. (In other words, I have poured out a glass of wine, and have put dinner into the microwave to reheat.) Outside, the week's rubbish awaits collection: bags of yard waste, a garbage bag, and the recycling bins are all lined up neatly on one half of the double-wide driveway, awaiting collection.

Excitement: the morning paper is delivered, or more accurately, thrown at the door, as is usual lately by a bloke in a SUV, who drives up the driveway to do the throwing. Trouble: whilst reversing he backs into the assorted rubbish containers. Does he now:

A) Pull forward to give himself manouevring space, get out and check that no damage has been done, replace any knocked-over bags etc, and reverse more carefully, or

B) Pull forward a foot or so, then stomp on the throttle and reverse over the yard waste bags, bumpity bumpity bump, into the street; and then drive off, leaving a trail of destruction behind him.

If you answered A), you are obviously a civilised member of society, and likely to be a member here, and wouldn't ever dream of doing B).

Unlike SUV bloke this morning. May the curse of Mary Malone and her nine blind illegitimate children chase him so far over the hills of damnation that the Lord himself couldn't find him with a telescope. (The Irish do have a way with words!)

As for today's annoyance, renovations: replacing 70+ year old bits and pieces of electrickery with modern cables and boxes and receptacles and switches and so on, whilst trying not to make too many holes in the walls. Of course, the old cables do not run where you would expect them to, and the old boxes are not attached to studs but furring strips in between studs, and so the number of holes needing patching multiplies.

Claims on GMTV this morning that people are having a go at Raheem Sterling for having a assault rifle tattooed on his leg are racism. "If he was a white player no-one would care." Give me strength. Raheem/ daft choice. Roseanne Barr/racism.

 

That's a bit harsh. He's only offering his opinion.

 

People who ask seemingly innocent questions, then followed up with their true motivation e.g. “what are you doing for the half-term week?” then “Could you pop in and feed the hamsters while we are in Spain?” when you say you are at home. Yeah, because I fancy spending half an hour every day looking after your scratty rodents.

The same people that never reciprocate with childcare because they are too busy, but are happy to spend £4 on cheap white wine to show their appreciation for 3 hours childcare.

I was driving around the lakes when this bloody buffoon in a silver coloured transit came flying past.
It caused me to spill my pimms and squash my cucumber sandwich which my Co pilot had prepared lovenly with her own fair hands. Can these drivers please keep off the roads whilst I'm out enjoying the countryside breathing in all the fresh air. Bloody roadhogs.
