    I could understand Riley Fordy but I saw absolutely nothing in Wright.

    Well it's not as if we have done great recently.

    We,be to change somethings and maybe it's now time for the unexpected. Our team is unbalanced Ball, Payne, Butterfield, OB doesn't work mate. All far too similar.

    But Wright will make it more unbalanced and is no where near the level of those you've listed IMO.

    Do you want to share his career stats with the rest of us so we can all understand how you can justify your faith in Wright?

    I don't recall ever seeing any performance stats for Wright but like most posters, I have seen him in real time on the VP pitch and he leaves much to be desired in my view. He's a bottler, with no spirit and no heart for the fight we now need.

    If you are going to mention spirit, heart and fight. I can only recall Caddis and Lewis O'Brien showing that this season. (I'm not sticking up for Wright btw) =]

    There's nothing to move on from I'm happy for Riley to get a second chance. But I've seen Wright play, I've seen Gillingham fans opinion of him aswell. The bloke clearly has the best agent in the football league and fair play to him.

    Mate, I have seen him play for us live a number of times. He wasn't as bad as some make out. Yes, he wasn't great but how many players have been for us this season really?

    Payne was good for about a month in total, OB for 2-3 months, Caddis been our stand out player since he joined.

    Think it's mighty unfair for Wright to be the player singled out when he hasn't played for months.

    I would also seriously consider Patrick on Saturday and I am not a massive fan.

    Bottom line is our current 1st isn't working and it's time to restore faith in others. Even Hopkins in his last interview said he was too loyal to some players.

    You posted that his stats suggested he was a better player than has been suggested. So instead of reiterating things you've said previously, let's have a look at the stats which you referred to so we can all understand how you have formed your view of Wright.

    Just to remind you, this is what you said in relation to another post criticising Wright's performances...

    "Really? His career stats say different"

    Do you have any stats relating to Wright's performances or was your comment about his stats just more bluster?

    Looked to have decent spells during his time at Scunny and Gillingham, club captain for Gills and named POTY 16/17. Good games to goals ratio too during that time. Sounds like his best position was holding midfield, maybe we tried to play him too offensively?

    Fans are saying they'd have Riley in yet he's only played 4 games and in them games I don't recall him doing anything of note, similar to Wright. Plus Riley has no real stats (if you want to go by stats) to prove otherwise.

    Have a read on what Gills fans think of him, they were amazed he got another League 1 club and I'm pretty sure nearly all his goals come from penalties.

    Yet he was named POTY by the club, players and away fans the season before his release. Amazing how quickly us fans turn or remember.

    I'm not been funny - but we are basically chucking the towel in and waving the white flag now if we start playing Omari Patrick.

    that idiot isn't even National League standard. I'm still not convinced he didn't win a Match! magazine competition to get a contract.

    Ha mate I agree he isn't great and to give him a 3 year contract when we did was foolish.

    However, he has pace and our team lacks that badly. We might need to consider going 2 up now.

    According to Jason on the latest WOAP podcast Riley's wage is double what Mcardle earned at City. So him, Wright and Scannell must costing a fortune whilst not contributing anything to the relegation fight.
