It’s our time now! Our club needs us!

I've been giving my all for the first 7 months of the season. What were actually need is the players to think about putting in some effort.

Right. So here is the big question. Do we get behind O'Connor if he is selected? I want us to have the best chance possible and don't think harassing any of our own players on Saturday will help our cause. Might not be a popular view after some of the things I have read on here

 

Its not the fans that have been a let down this season.
Its our shocking defence.
I have supported the team home and away this season and that wont make NKP or O'Connor better players. Wake up and smell the coffee mate its the PLAYERS that have let the club down badly not the fans.

 

Tough call in my view. We have calmed down I think, we will have to leave it to the manager as to whether he thinks he is mentally fit to play. I am serious, all of that will have had an impact on him. Don’t know him at all, but his antics on the field incline me to believe a severe lack of maturity. That does not bode well when the booing and whistles start, plus the players are all a bit fragile and it might have an impact on them as well. If it was me I would sit him out for a bit.

This thread started superbly, then morphed into O'Connor been given a chance when he's done nothing wrong. That is apart from naively thinking the incident wouldn't be a problem (and playing poorly!!)

 

I never said he had done nothing wrong (although in the cold light of day I am 50/50 as how to interpret his actions). I said should we support him as part of the team if he is picked to play on Saturday, or abuse him knowing that might have a detrimental effect on our performance. By the way I also think this thread started as a great rallying call from the usual Mr. Negative

 

Bravo that man!!! 100% agree. This is us now. Aside of Scannell and Woods returning there is little change ahead in the first team squad. The only significant difference that can now change things is us.

At Walsall, 10mins after we scored the crowd were very flat as there was nothing to cheer about. Could more encouragement from us have made a difference? We’ll never know, but then we management team and players just need whatever we can give them to try get out of this.

It’s that, sit moan and bring us down even further.

 

In fairness, if fit. Those two players could solve the biggest two problem areas, we've had for most of the season

 

I'll back any one of them if they put in 100%. So its really all on the players.

But it won't stop the rebuild needed in the summer, even if we pull off the great escape

 

Bob on....support can make a difference. Pick 3 points up Saturday and those negative thoughts transfer to Rovers fans and Oxford fans. Lets get back to the patch where we pressed hard and forced other teams to play it long and make mistakes. Out of the blocks as one Saturday!!
