Did you see the minutes silence between Notts and Mansfield?

Sadly they showed exactly why the lighting of the arch would be a much better way of highlighting the issue rather than the silence. No doubt it'll more of the same up and down the country.

A minute’s silence is always open to a few idiots making a noise.
This then results in them being booed,which just makes it sound worse.

It's a complex, long standing geopolitical quagmire. But the charter of Hamas calls for the obliteration of Israel and the Jews. It appears to me that their motivation of hate and violence outweighs any desire for peace or protection of their own populace. There'll never be peace, and given the history of the Jews I have every understanding that they take literally threats against their existence.

I'd suggest they are heavily backed by the regime in Iran, they will be more that happy to see the situation in Gaza even though 1000s of lives will be at risk, the West have a lot to answer for with regards the nuclear inspectors not being allowed full reign with regards the nuclear possibility.
Like it or not Trump was having none of it and stopped any financial aid to Iran.

 

Don’t be such a snowflake. It’s a common method of response to a debate on here. I didn’t edit her post - her post still exists exactly in its original form. I edited a copy of her post. It’s just a shorthand way of responding to make a point.

I don’t believe for one minute that you have read the article. You have simply made a knee jerk response because you’ve seen that the article is in The Guardian.

No one could possibly read that article and conclude that the author is “blaming Israel for their own massacre by the Hamas terrorists”.

Does this sound like it’s excusing Hamas?

If you have actually read that article and still conclude that it is blaming Israel for the massacre then there is something seriously wrong with your comprehension.

If Israel hadn’t been so focused on colonising the West Bank then they wouldn’t have taken their eye off the continuing threat from Hamas in the south. That’s a shocking failure of government. But it doesn’t mean that Israel was to blame for the massacre. Responsibility for the slaughter, rape, torture and abduction of innocent Jewish citizens rests 100% with Hamas.

 

Israel adamant they're gonna go into Gaza and crush Hamas but you can't really defeat an ideology like that. If anything it will only make them stronger and the protests around the world even fiercer.
