Should have seen former Head of MI6 Sir Richard Dearlove this morning on GBNews...absolutely scathing re our Home secretary, Foreign secretary and our hapless Energy secretary...brutal but accurate...

I just watch the video with him, we thought the danger came from the likes of Russia, North Korea, China it seems the real threat could be from within.

Can not imagine Netanyahu will come here now so Starmer will not be put to the test.

To be honest I'm not sure who has the say on if the arrest happens or not legally. Can the PM stop the police arresting someone that legally needs to be arrested? Or is the seperation between judicary and government enough to stop that level of interference?

Here's another joke it seems the European countries don't learn, the Iranians want to meet with representatives from the EU, France, Germany and the UK to discus sanctions, when Russia invaded the Ukraine we couldn't act quick enough to put very stringent sanctions on Russia and all those involved, yet Irian in support of Hamas, Houthis send missiles into Israel and were going to talk about sanctions being eased, the first thing Trump did when previously elected was to pull out of the dumb deal when the Iranians would not allow full inspection of the nuclear facilities.
Iranian minister to meet European counterparts after nuclear offer rejected

"Iran admits it has been steadily withdrawing its cooperation from the IAEA inspectorate since the 2018 decision by Donald Trump to pull the US out of the agreement. Iran had signed up to the original deal in 2015 monitoring its nuclear programme in return for the west lifting economic sanctions".

Your correct Netanyahu won't enter any country that might instrument his arrest my point is more about not fully backing Israel when our biggest ally and most European countries are fully backing them, its been a terrible price to pay for the Palestinian people but was there any alternative to what they needed to do to get Hamas out of Gaza, and when they do what situation would be acceptable to both parties a free Palestine to re-elect Hamas, that's not going to be an opinion is it, lets hope something like the Abraham Accord can be revisited with input from the US and neighbouring Arab countries.

I see after (the deal) was announced Hamas were out in the Gaza showing their colours and firing their weapons in the air, they must be delighted with this deal, how can it be classed as a good deal for both parties when Hamas will still be very much involved going forward.
On 15 January 2025, Israel and Hamas reached an agreement under which Hamas agreed to release hostages, including infants, children, women, and elderly men and bodies of dead hostages, abducted to Gaza during the 7th October 2023 attacks in exchange for the release of Hamas militants and other Palestinian prisoners, many involved in attacks on Israelis, from Israeli prisons.

Benjamin Netanyahu's office had earlier accused Hamas of backtracking on an earlier understanding that he said would give Israel a veto over which prisoners convicted of murder would be released in exchange for hostages.
How can it be Hamas who indicate/chose which prisoners should be released.

No winners in a conflict that has caused the deaths of thousands but I'd argue that Israel have shown what lengths they are prepared to go to to defend themselves. Tells Hamas and the like what will happen if they try it again.

But it can't be allowed to happen again Hamas are quite happy to lose fighters and innocent fellow Palestinians, I really can't believe any ceasefire could happen with regards Hamas being a part of the government in Gaza, radical Islam knows no boundaries and as sure as night follows day they will be attacks on Israel maybe not as devastating as October 7th but as with Iran they want Israel wiping off the face of the planet.

that is how peace works though. Sides that are on opposite sides have to agree to stop. The only way to see if it works is to try. Who would have thought that the peace process would have held in Northern Ireland, and how many people were totally against even talking to the IRA?

The IRA and Hamas were both classed as terrorist organisations but I'd suggest that's as near as they get (our mainstream media were happy to call the IRA terrorists yet prefer to call Hamas a government, although there have been no elections in Gaza since 2005 failing to call them terrorists although the UK government class them as a terrorist group ?.
The IRA wanted a united Ireland but didn't want to wipe the UK off the face of the earth, many middle eastern countries are more than happy to support Iran with their doctrine, I can't see the cease fire lasting long, I do hope I'm wrong but these groups are driven by an ideology that believes Islam will be the religion of the world.

Look at the concessions we made to the terrorist tw*ts though.
We have soldiers still being chased through the courts whilst they received letters of comfort.
Should let the lot of them rot in hell. Better still....SAS, double tap with a 9mm.

Would they then have to take out their own colleagues doing the work of the loyalist terrorists?
