I'd love to know what it shows because having sat through it I can tell you we scored 2 but didn't have a worthwhile shot on target from open play. Saying we are the most creative in the division only goes to prove how utterly abysmal this division is. Should make it semi professional.

 

Dochertys football was appallingly bad.
Much worse that anything bowyers teams been playing.

 

Bowyers style is very very similar to Dochertys in fact in my opinion its worse.

 

I'm sure Bowyer won't lose much sleep because Zayn Malik has called him out, his opinion is no more valid than yours or mine, maybe the lad should stick to singing he seems to be good at that according to Wiki, "first British male artist to debut at number one in both the UK and USA.

Today was not pretty at all but ultimately i don’t care how he does it, as long as we’re not in this division next season. We’ll win on Wednesday to go top 3, results depending. You can’t really moan at that can you? That pitch does not make for nice pretty football either, probably why we recorded 52 aerials in the first half alone. Led to believe we can afford to bring Doyle back without compromising other players but he has to play him in a two.

 

Don’t care about one off matches. League table is settled after 46 games.

xG of 1.8 for City and 0.8 for Mansfield. We deserved the win.

If truth be told Connollys pace ran them ragged and should have bagged us a third penalty. Vaughan took the two we were awarded (which would make up xG of about 1.4 as pens have a 70 % success rate).

A fully deserved victory and another job done.

 

It was barely calling out Bowyer. He simply said put Ismael on and secure the win

 

And herein lies the flaw in the xG concept. A game in which we created absolutely nothing and we have a figure of 1.8 just because we get awarded two penalties. It's no wonder we are seeing nonsense like "4th most creative team in the league" with totally misleading and inaccurate stats like these.

 

I guess xG doesn't take into account actually being there and sampling the game in real time. It was a victory nothing more nothing less.
