Is Gary Bowyer a bully ?

Bowyers no bully ? But he does have the aura of a Teacher about him. Might be a bit condescending as teachers often are. Not like in the old days when your PE teacher used batter with a cricket bat or have down doing 20 squat thrusts ? But today they take kids down with a barbed comment or two. PE teachers always have that extra element of control about them that a class based subject teacher does not have. Also the bad kids are usually defused in PE because they actually prove good at it. So PE teachers are good at controlling.

I'd say Bowyers controlling and indeed views himself as a teacher. He could be one ? Did he not spend time out of the game on a Degree Course ? Not a bad thing really I suppose but he has an "air of superiority" about him that the weaker ones might find intimidating. That said I think hes a moral decent man who was brought up with more traditional values. Look hes a Speedway fan so hes alright by me.

 

Imagine a Manager asking players to play his way... whatever next?

 

I just don't get this thread at all. Bowyer's football might not be great and we were dire in that second half yesterday but how it all correlates to him being a bully I have absolutely no idea.

It is more the case he just isn't getting the most out of this squad. He has generally stifled them due to his own safety first approach, but he has to exert some authority over the players given he is their manager. That isn't bullying.

 

I mean this thread is horrendous. We moan about the board, the manager and the players but some of you really need to have a good long hard look in the mirror as fans of the club.
Imagine players, managers or other fans coming on reading this?? It's embarrassing and needs taking down.

Well it's not Bowyer that's controlling things is it?
as you say "Bowyer is becoming last years Hopkin, IMO. No control, or direction."

 

Difference is Hopkins was bottom of the league and down and out we are two,points from automatic promotion big difference

 

What will you say in two weeks ( if not sooner) when we are out of the play off spots

 

I was pointing out Ronnie's assertion that he was controlling, yet an hour or so earlier was complaining he had no control

 

Next two games could be a good indicator to where our season is heading. It could see us either in the automatics or out of the playoffs altogether. Both are away and our away form is sketchy to say the least.
