I did warn everyone but again people don't want to handle the truth.

How anyone is shocked by this is beyond me. Even Sky won't be back anytime soon.

Football beyond closed doors is poor at most levels but div 2 football behind closed doors makes me think I would rather watch paint dry. The quality of our squad doesn't help matters at all.

    We beat Bolton scoring 2
    We beat Mansfield scoring 3
And a cracking game against Forest green scoring 2 and almost winning with 9 men every away games shown on iFollow has been well worth th 10 pounds. I mean even Grimsby have more watching.

14th in league 2 is one heck of an achievement. We’ve been truly spoilt. Just can’t figure out why the uptake has been so low as it’s obviously not the product....

This is even more depressing. I’m totally realistic to not expect everyone will pay and that some will illegally stream. However the added incentive of me purchasing games via ifollow is at least the club gets some benefit from it.

Do supporters in general like been at home watching their team via screening?
In our case an absolutely apauling commentary team from radio Leeds adding to a lacklustre experience.
I watch City via iFollow but with muted sound.
You carnt beat meeting up with folk you know and complete strangers in person on match days and for some iFollow is simply not an experience to get excited about.

For me, nothing beats the "being there" matchday experience.

However, I am determined to make the best of this awful situation we find ourselves in and I have created a matchday routine around watching the matches on iFollow: matchday programme to read (+ the new City Gent today), a few beers, chatting with friends (online) etc.

Maybe clubs will finally wake up to the fact that fans don't go to football just for the football. They go to get away from the stresses of home, work and the wider world (and DO NOT want reminding of them while at the game). They go to get fresh air and get their blood circulating. They go to exercise the kids. They go to meet their mates. They go to have a beer. They go to have a laugh and let off steam. The go to chat about football. They go to chat about other things. They go to exchange things - goods and gifts. They go to see what is happening off camera. Who is in the directors box? What is Charlie up to this week? They go to see away fans reactions' to events. They go to get others' opinion on whether the ref was right or Breunker could make League 2. They go for lots of other things. Watching online is a much inferior a product. Give me all of the above and I might pay £10 or £15 to stream a game. As it is I have not watched one - home or away - and I have lost any intention to.

I expect I'll come back to it when crowds return but there is an outside chance I'll find something else that meets some of my desires and stop going because it's a long way to Valley Parade for me. More worrying for the club is that I pay for several season tickets. If I stop going, that could be a big revenue loss for the club with the ticket and commercial sales. This is why the club should put an awful lot more effort into making Saturdays a match day experience rather than just a game of football. (Like have they ever considered something for little kids to play with while dads are queueing for tickets or food? What about events to draw people in early and get them to leave later, spending more money and easing traffic jams? You could fit a small German-style beer and food hall under the Sunwin with table service. What about radiated warm areas for fans to recover a bit in the concourse corner areas when they get frozen daft. Charge to switch overhead heaters or blowers on if you have to. It's terrible when you get soaked on the way to a game and have to watch the entire game shivering wet. THAT'S WHY SOME DO NOT. Why is there no cover over the ticket office queueing area or wind break. Don't you want fans to come buy tickets?

It's not just a game of football. It's an experience. Add to it. Make it more comfortable. Give us more options. Make me forget my daily worries. I work online at home all the time. I'd rather watch the pub team up the road than watch football at home online without crowds. I did not even notice we played last Tuesday until the day after. I just do not care about watching football online with no genuine atmosphere. It means nothing to me - and I have a 25 year season ticket. It's not what I paid for. It might be an age thing but, if I don't care about online football, I presume loads of others do not, too. It's typical of the government and PFL/EFL to just think they can substitute streaming and it will do. We're just consumers to be milked these days. Well, I've got better things I can do to get out of the house and keeps my kids happy. Clubs need to be careful or many fans won't come back. The PFL might think the TV money will keep flowing at the top even if the pyramid crumbles at the bottom. I'm not so sure.

But if someone already has IPTV for all the other stuff I can not see them then paying extra to get something already on their ‘package’

Those are the only 2 that were worth watching. The rest haven't been, including this one from early indications

I have been a season ticket holder for over 50 years, this is the first season I have not renewed. I have no desire to watch soulless league 2 games played in front of no fans. The Harrogate game on Sky was a thoroughly depressing ordeal, and I don't want to pay for watching similar games that have all the excitement of a pre season training session.

If iFollow is on their IPTV 'package' as you describe it then I have a strong suspicion it would be a pirated copy and therefore illegal. It's how some IPTV providers make their money by getting the gullible to sign up for a subscription involving pirated broadcasts.

One largeish IPTV provider which broadcast live football and films was recently taken down, the owner fined and jailed and made subject to a confiscation order. And around 20,000 subscribers received a 'cease and desist' letter from plod.

I would say vast majority of IPTV in this country includes pirated channels. I wouldn’t say they are Gullible, they will know that what they are getting is dodgy. Otherwise why would it be £10 a year rather than £120 a month for full Sky

I was being kind referring to them as gullible. ;)

But what they do isn't 'dodgy' but supporting illegal activiy and putting money in the hands of criminals.

A very wise decision based on the tripe the club has served up so far.
The benefit of iFollow is at least we can Immediately switch off and not face a miserable journey home. That said, I hope Sparks and the club are prepared for a serious reduction in numbers of subscriptions to Tuesdays game, cause today was as bad as anything I saw in 18-19 season.
