They know how to build things over there. By the time we've got planning permission, they'd have built it.

The club hasn't got a pot to piss in.

The club doesn't have a rich sugar daddy.

There's no really rich fan that want to buy city. I mean one that really wants championship football.

The stadium is in shit hole area, I bet its puts alot of would be investers off. It'll put me off.

As for a lot words being written on here.
They mean nothing to those running the club not one bit.
They want our 150 for season tickets and you happyclappers love it, so sit your arse down and watch crap football and crap players week in week out. Your opinion isn't wanted.

So until we get someone really stinking rich.
    We're in the shitpool forever.

    Keep clapping.

    Simple..

    Rupp sales.
    Rhodes leaves.

If Rupp stays then he needs to get rid of Rhodes.

Barring that I am offering nothing else.

We will not move forward under Rhodes! Rupp is just one of the worst owner we have ever had.. the man is a joker!

I assume you mean sell ?
Unfortunately Fordy it's a bit like buying house's.
What you think it's worth, aint the majority of the time what someone would to shell out for it.

We have an impasse until , as In undersand it .
The current owner has a head shake to what he paid for the club / to what he thinks it's worth / to against what anyone will pay for it.

Still waiting for Galloway's Arab mate to buy us as he promised (Anther c~~t) and pump sh!t loads in

The cheap season tickets worked because of Parky and the cup runs!

Football has changed. Teams have overtaken us.

You can blame Edin but you have to blame Rupp as well! Rupp was involved mate and now he's involved in taking us further backwards

And there is my immediate issue, cannot see how or why he is going to.
We can discuss each and relevant part of Bradford City , but when the owner/majority shareholder quite brazenly accept's he has no real interest in football . I therefore can't see honestly a long term financial commitment from him.
When I say financial commitment I mean deep pockets, because that is what it takes even at our Khazi level.

I have a lot of issue's with Mark Lawn, but after nearly 4 years since he departed the club, raising ticket prices ain't one of them

But the consumer uptake are lesser year on year and likely to continue next season. Lesser uptake by the consumer at the exact same price, would indicate you would have to cut your cloth accordingly. Like the pitch, backroom staff...

What next season as revenues continue to fall?

The problem we have, our club is probably worth £3 million tops, so I have no doubt somebody will love to pick us up for that amount, but that in no way gives Rupp his money back.

I have picked out the middle sentence in your post.

If you think we are being ‘left behind’, then you must have a view as to who is progressing and some idea as to why? Can you give examples of these progressive clubs and the factor(s) which make them ‘progressive’?

My view is that a lot of it is down to money. The more a club can access, then the better it is likely to do. That can be down to a number of factors, but we have seen clubs at our level who have overspent (Bury, Macclesfield and Bolton immediately come to mind) With the subsequent consequences. There are also clubs that we do not really know that much about, who seem to have creatively used money (Manchester City & Chelsea) and circumvented the rules which govern FairPlay.

To look at a number of clubs who are of a comparable size and have done reasonably well, then Brentford, Barnsley, Millwall and Wigan come to mind. There are smaller clubs who again for a variety of reasons are much higher in the football ladder, Burton, Wycombe and Accrington are examples. What are the factors that set them apart from us?

Attendance figures in the Championship are not massive, although we do get much cheaper tickets. In League One only three clubs have larger attendances than City (Sunderland, Ipswich & Portsmouth).

I think a number of concepts need to be incorporated into a strategic plan. They could include, Financial creativity/realism (have a budget and ‘cut your cloth accordingly). Appointments to be made, to aim for stability in personnel, in all area of the club. Evolution and sustainability (avoid boom/bust). Long term solutions in respect of the stadium, both the pitch and the fabric of the structure. Crucially the squad, seek to have far more balance, recruitment on the basis of performance current/potential, personality of the the players and their proneness to injury etc, probably reduce the size on the basis of quality rather than quantity. Engagement with supporters on a constructive basis.

As James Carville commented in 1992, crucially it is ‘the economy, stupid’.

Well I think Stuart and Kenny need excellent scouts, and I do hope we do not penny pinch in that department. I expect Stuart to set the parameters but I expect a good team of scouts to go and research and find players that fit the parameters.

and if that is the coherent plan going forward of £150 priced season tickets, then deep pockets are needed. As currently the club is not self sufficient.
We're running to stand still, a never ending vicious circle

The other 23 clubs in our league manage to pass the ball around and score goals on it though.....
