Agree, Bradford people are too weak and just accept failure!

I'm too young but wasn't Bradford ahead of Leeds as a City in the 80's? The Leeds came with its marketing in the 90's.

It's like with the football club. Training at a school isn't acceptable. I don't care what anyone says it's not! It's embarrassing! Not owning our stadium! Not having a long term plan. Fans make poor excuses and it's shameful. Just want more! Demand more! Stop being weak!

We either start wanting more and being positive or we became greater Leeds and sack everyone at Bradford Council because they're weak and lazy!

As for the club the sooner we all wake up that Rupp and Rhodes need to leave then we will be in a better place!!

Bang on in comparison both clubs dwarf Bradford City having said that Sheffield United we playing Bradford City in the 2016/17 season I'd say they weren't successful around that time just ticking over, they as a club had plenty of managers pass through the club and never brought success, until they gambled by bringing Chris Wilder to the club who'd done a very good job at Oxford but walked out on them to take over at Northampton ten lead them to be league two champions with 99 points.
They always had Kevin McCabe to support them financially then he brought foreign investors in Saudi Prince Abdullah bin Mosaad Al Saud, chalk and cheese mate to Bradford City, not forgetting they could always pull 20,000 into Bramhall Lane when doing well without cheap season tickets.

Well it looks like the Government are going to force us into that situation like it or not. We have been holding out well at least North and West Yorkshire have for a full Yorkshire Mayor, but once South Yorkshire caved in it was only a matter of time. Investment will happen, but they are looking for investment in the smaller towns and cities.

We should have, Jack Tordoff wanted the club to go to Shipley, Stafford didn't, the former was proved right with the subsequent demographic change leaving the club marooned in the "wrong" place as it's fans moved ever further away and with it's local residents not particlularly interested. This has not happened to any other club.

Rhodes leaving with Rupp still owning would be infinitely preferable to Rupp selling and Rhodes buying.

This isn't said flippantly but pro footballers are not on the list on 'skilled employees' under the post-Brexit immigration rules unlike professional ballet dancers! It's therefore highly likely that won't happen and European footballers will be treated exactly like other footballers are currently treated from around the world.

One problem is that we are constantly having to deal with the consequences of poor managerial appointments and poor recruitment. Although we can get rid of a lot of players this summer we will still have Longridge, POC, AOC, BRE, Pritchard, Novak, Vaughan, Guthrie, French, Wood, Staunton and Hornby under contract for next season. Then in the summer Stuart will try to sign players to build a competitive squad by adding to the above. My guess is that he will fail and then by this time next year we will have another load of players the next manager doesn't want. And so it goes on. By the way, I'm still waiting for someone to give me a definitive answer to who signed Guthrie.

    errr...isnt it simple maths?

    10k at 150 is GBP1.5m
    10k at 250 is GBP 2.5m

    Actually

    12k at 150 is GBP1.8m
    8k at 250 is GBP2.0m

We could Loe 4k season tickets and be 200k better off

"...there is no evidence that dearer tickets will increase overall monies"

errr...I am clearly missing something here.

Or are you going to try and sell me the line that we sell enough pies and replica shirts to make up the difference?

If we want Rupp to put his hand into his pocket then I think he could reasonably expect us to put our bit in as well and pay more for our season tickets.

Ultimately the phrase containing the words 'Peanuts' and 'Monkeys' comes to mind if we want to continue as we are.

Can't disagree with most of that, then again we don't have an owner with any vision like Andrea Radrizzani, the only thing they have in common is they are both foreign owners.
Not sure Leeds fans ever fell out of love with their team, even through the bad times in league one they could pull ‎average attendances of 26,040.

Don't you think at sometime in the past that calculation has been, and it looks like they disagreed with your comment or we would possible be paying £200+ for a season ticket ?.

You may be correct I'm quoting the average home attendance season 2007/08 when they got to the play play off final against Doncaster, recording the highest home attendance for a third tier game 32,501 when they entertained Huddersfield at Elland Road.

We are in the lower reaches of the football league. We can’t offer the best footballers in the world and our football is the equivalent at the moment of a pornagraphic flic than a Hollywood blockbuster.
We keep being told what a dump and poor city we live in our prices suit our demographic. If and when we move up the league there will be scope for paying more but as things are we should stick with affordable football

Canal barges move faster than cars through the Saltaire, Thackley Corner, Canal Road, Hollins Hill zone. A three lane road, which bottle necks down to one below the Queens Road bridge (ironically an appropriate name Canal Road). No through trains from the south or west go to Shipley/Saltaire/Bingley/Crossflats. An area where if I recall it correctly, there was problems with the land, to the east side of the River Aire ,with stability. So build a stadium, which has very poor accessibility in a relatively narrow valley bottom. Where is this pristine site ready for development?

I would love to have a detailed answer on our scouting networks and how they're using analytics. I think we can all agree that we've recruited badly the last couple of years.

The days of scouts simply going to watch a few games are long gone. While that is still important to an extent its time the club, if it isn't already doing so, entered the 21st century. If we are a club that is going to rely on "cup runs and selling players" we should start to look at players like stocks. Those that will appreciate and those that will depreciate. This isn't to say we shouldn't take on a player that we won't then be able to sell for big money, it's all about balance. The link at the bottom of this explains the Brentford model of using data. I realize that right now we are not in the same category as them in terms of finances. However, I don't think that should stop us implementing a similar statistical model.

This is one of the better threads I have read on here recently. I agree with the point about the club feeling like the city. We appear to be going nowhere. I would happily have a few years in league 2 if it meant we had a medium and long term plan in place. At the moment it's very much hit and hope - on and off the field.

Plus I think he can speak English but chooses not to in front of the press etc.
And who can blame him. Everything taken out of context. At least this way he keeps up the front and can blame the translator if needed
