    Who was responsible for yesterday?

Surely Hopkin couldn't be so naive and technically inept to tell the players to keep playing high ball, up to one of the biggest centre halves I have seen for a while. But if he did, would the players be strong enough to take it upon themselves to try and play intreket passes, and maybe get something out of the game?

I always find it interesting, that when a manager gets sacked, has he been sacked due to his tactical ability, or have the players been that poor that they don't understand the tactics set out by the managers.

Who is to blame for this season, Hopkin for some of his awful decision making, tactical knowledge and motivation, or the players for their poor performances, technical ability and lack of motivation?

I don't particularly like Hopkin, but I don't dislike him either. Who would we get in if he was sacked, but we can not keep sacking. He needs a good summer transfer window where more players become available, more time to deal with the right players and more time to build his team. I think in time then he can build a solid team, not a promotion pushing team, but a comfortable mid table team, that might be tip toeing into the playoffs every now and again...

both.. if the gameplan isn’t working then the manager needs to change it. if the players aren’t following what they’ve been told, they have a responsbility too.

players also need to be able to react to what they see on the pitch. take payne for example; if he isn’t getting any joy in the areas he’s been asked to play in, go find areas you can play in. even if that means dropping a little deeper - show some initiative.

Well that's true, again that's a point against Hopkin, he promised us these players in the first week of the window, and we ended him with Clarke and yes, on paper he looks a very good signin, Butterfield. Again is that Hopkin not selling the club enough to them, or Rupp not wanting to put the money into it?

So who was in the wrong yesterday? Why on earth did we carry on playing long ball. I'm struggling to get my head around who's fault it is

The last paragraph concerns me the most, 99% of fans will not be happy with a comfortable middle table team. Every summer & first weeks of the season expectation is high, with a play off or promotion challenge expected. In my eyes mediocrity is not really acceptable, be the best you can be, put smiles on fans faces & at least have a go, not sit back & accept 2nd best.

With regards yesterday, Hopkin has got to show more tenacity, talking a good game after the event will not wash with many. The players need to stand up, they all have experience now of how to play if things aren’t going right. Take responsibility for your own actions & find a way

or players not wanting to relocate for a 6month deal with no promise of a job at the end of it. or players not wanting to drop into a relegation battle. or players deciding they’d rather play for another club and accepting a different offer.

there are countless reasons why a player does or doesn’t decide to join a particular club. it’s not as simple and easy as some may make it out to be.

When a teams as bad as yesterday, and the whole season really both management and players have to take responsibility and look what they can do better. It’s not an either or.

And I am in that 99%, I get the excitement every pre season this is gonna be our season, but I think that's all that Hopkins is capable of unfortunately, I can't see us fighting for promotion with him in charge

some fans don’t help by creating absurd rumour about who we are going for or things they’ve heard; for example billy sharp and bradley dack in years gone by. the club are usually quite quiet on comings and goings, their normal stance is simply that they want to create a team and squad that is hopefully going to be competitive.

If midfield is snuffed out and we have no wingers available long ball is the only option. We are to narrow and we have no-one to hold the ball.up.
Plymouth are renowned for using the same tactics as Fleetwood and with no change the result will be the same we need some width to stretch them.

Hate that line'Who would we get if we sack him?' - don't know where you work but let me tell you that if you get sacked then the company will find someone to replace you! Loads of managers out there that would love to manage Bradford City.

So what should be do? Accept failure?

Hopkin was given this Jan window and has messed up.

He seems so stubborn that yesterday I don't think we had a centre back as a sub. So let's waste the wages we're paying Riley and Wright etc why can't we use them? We're not Liverpool, Utd, Chelsea etc we can not afford to leaving players out of our squad to make stupid points.

It's not good enough. He's wasting money and we're not in the position to wasting money.

If he takes us down then for me we have to sack him. The standard of football isn't good enough.

Sure @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler heard the boos on Saturday and it will only get worse. I didn't boo. I am on a promise but can't blame any fan that did on Saturday.

Your always going to get fans adding 2+2 = 5 that's part of posting on a football forum, having said that hearing our ex chairman saying we made a bid for Kieffer Moore doesn't help.
