Not a fan so far great he gets angry but his tactics and formations plus in game decisions baffle me

I mean hes already tried to throw them all under the bus and now realised that hasn't worked. Maybe trying to keep them onside?

If I was Hopkin I would go to the board tomorrow and demand my own backroom team in by end of October and to actually have players lined up for January. Not wait until January and then try but to actually know they are coming in once the window opens?

If I didn't get that I'd walk

Hopkin made a comment on Radio Leeds I didn't quite get. At the end of the interview he was asked where he thought the club was going. His reply was something like "you don't just look at the last 7 or 8 weeks, you have to look back to January" I have no idea what he meant. Was it a dig at the owners? Anyone else hear it?

 

I heard it.

He's basically saying 'it's not my fault'.

He's right, of course.

I think he will try to rude this out, because at the minute it's crushed his CV. He has like a 9 percent win rate, one if the worst records of any manager anywhere in the world.

He has to try to improve that, because he's got no chance at getting an English club after this. A crap Scottish one maybe, but he deliberately evacuated that crap league as both player and manager as soon as he could.

Yes,I heard it.Asked a question on how he saw the club going forward and he alluded to the past,I.e. last Jan to date.

I feel an inference that the unfathomable problem that encompasses the club is a real problem and he hinted at it.It could also be a get out clause regarding the results but without doubt,there's something wrong but nobody wants to say.

The radio L**ds phone in which I thought was going to be anger personified,turned out to be part time supporters being very understanding and the rest were self confessed L**ds fans!!

It was a nasty one to chuck at him after a result like that though - he can't really answer "league 2"

 

But he has already said he hasn't got the players who are capable of playing out from the back. Basically he's stuffed!

 

Which ever way he cooks it, we're sh1te.

 

He could play virtually any style, nothing would improve. We didn't sign a team, we signed random players.

Try completing a jigsaw with pieces from 50 different puzzles. It doesn't matter how you approach it, what you're working with is a chaotic mess.

 

The thing is though, the reason he was asked it, was because Thornton didn't. It was asked as an "add on" by the guy that sounds like the Hairy Biker, just as he was walking out the door I think.
He definitely was not best pleased. And he was definitely caught off guard - basically saying that he's trying to clean someone else's shit.

 

I think he's pretty much unsackable for a while yet. There's no doubt that the blame for the vast majority of the problems the club's currently encountering are down to the dear leader alone, with a little help from the supporting cast.

Whatever happened last January set something in motion that hasn't yet been exhausted. Players and managers come and go but it still appears that something is very wrong indeed. I'm now beginning to think that City will never be successful with him at the helm. He's like a chronic disease, it may look like it's been cured, but symptoms continues to return time after time. I don't think he has either the personality, temperament or skills to make him a success in football club ownership. For the good of the club and its supporters, the sooner he's no longer involved, the better.
