Wasnt too optimistic about reaching the play offs this season but i think this has give me HOPE

 

Think this proves we want to be in it to win it. Good signing and shows we are looking for quality in positions that we showed vulnerability.All the signs are positive that we have access to the players that will improve the squad....good stuff!

We gave him a new contract recently so I'll be disappointed if he doesn't get some game time - in the league cups or whatever at least.

 

There probably are but how big a recruitment/scouting network do you expect a league one side to have? We operate through germany using contacts of edin and the usual sytem and recommendations in the uk. You cant set up bases in every country hoping to find a gem, if someone is seen elsewhere by a club then other clubs will usually get wind of that too and go from there.

My sentiments too, id rather see how good he was first, in friendlies and check a trade games before loaning him out just get a loanee of the similar age in. He is held in high regard and im sure has been away on some england training camps

I love the way the management team keep their dealings under close wraps. Not a sniff around rumors and they have caught the ITK team on the back foot all summer.... love it.

I can see the arguments for O'Donnell and Akpan, sure, though it's a bit harsh considering Doyle's record. Wright and Law, no idea, and Seedorf and Riley are totally unknown.

It's a big, big, big decision to replace a massive character like McMahon with a kid, but there you go. Seedorf doesn't have to be better than Gilliead to make a bigger impression, either, since Gilliead was talented but lacked in the final third.

In truth, all those signings could be better; in reality, two or three improvements is more likely.

I forgot about Robinson and Gibson.

I think we'll play 3 at the back this season. Riley and either Wood or Robinson. But we'll need some fleixibility. Whether it's a winger or 'wide forward' we need a bit of creativity adding. A Bradley Dack type. They don't come cheap though.
