A bit codified with all these single letters? I would add that D & G are out + R & R are long term absentee's. We want them back ASAP OK?;)

I’d argue that with the addition of Cooke at CM and with Connely, Pritchard and Ismali we have better options that mean 433 may actually work now. Unlike earlier in the season when we had Devine and Anderson in CM and Wood on the wing.

Saturdays pre-game music choices are kind of er interesting.

Quite clever of the record cafe really, keep playing shite like that and more people will stay in their gaff until 3pm. Genius

Won't matter what you play on our tannoy system. Like listening to your ipod with your head in a bucket of water.

Not 'quite' what I'm saying, Northern, more a case of of options, come Saturday. Neither you or I will know until the the team sheet is released at the weekend. ;)

Whilst you are right, when we’ve played 5 in the past, they were ‘wingbacks’ and played more like a back 5 than a midfield 5. If we keep a flat back 4, and stick with 2 wingers, there is no reason why we couldn’t play 2 central midfielders with a further one playing just behind Donaldson.

That said, I’d rather we stick with a formation and get better at it, rather than changing it because of absentees. Stick Devine in for Palmer (although I suspect its more likely going to be Akpan), and stick Oteh up top with Donaldson.

How do Connelly, Pritchard and Ismael fit in a 4 3 3? One up top? At home?

    No thanks.

Well most games this season we have surrendered territory and possession
Well obviously only 2 of the 3 wingers would start (in a formation with 2 wingers), the other on the bench.

I assume from your “at home” comment you consider 433 to be negative or not attacking enough? Considering nearly every good team in the world play some version of 433/4231 I’d say that it’s more than suitable for a home game.

You do realise that we haven't got the players to mimic Manchester City, Liverpool and Barcelona don't you?

Playing a front 3 of Salah, Mane and Firmino is a bit different to expecting Clayton Donaldson to drop deep and lay in an overlapping Pritchard?

As I and others have indicated, NM - It's not quite a case of choice, but options.
These options are limited, just as our squad is ......... when all are match fit. In the Summer (remember that ? ;) ), Bowyer suggested we have a squad of adaptable players. It's high time those same players demonstrate their adaptability. Bearing in mind we are now League 2 (Div 4), let's not push those hopes too high for the luvvies, huh ? ;)

Funnily enough I do realise we have a different level of players. But we’re also playing against a lower level of opposition so it’s all relative. There are still plenty of teams in the lower leagues playing variations of 433 and making it work. I’m not saying we have to play it every game but people insisting on 442 every week seem to have very negative opinions of formations that only involve 1 out and out striker. My point is that 433 can be a very effective, attacking system and shouldn’t be written off because we had a few poor performances with it early in the season.

Where you got this from @RCarol@RCarol, many were saying most loans have a clause in where they can't play against there parent club.

I wouldn’t be suprised to see Pritchard in the number 10 role and Donno up front on Saturday.

Swindon not in great form and do concede.
Looking at their stats the best way to play them is to let them have a lot of the ball and keeping it tight and hitting them on the break. In that case Ismail needs to start as well as Connelly.
In the last 2 home games Swindon have played they've had 65% of the possession with not many shots, scored 0 conceded 5.
keep tight and i see us winning. Go in all guns blazing i think we might get caught out.
    2-0 to us imo

As a Swindon fan I joined the forum to see and join in the tributes to the wonderful Peter Downsborough. Ironic that we are playing each other immediately after his passing. Swindon have been very inconsistent at home (3 losses already) but not been beaten away in the league ..... yet. We lost our captain and central defender Conroy last Saturday which was a big blow. Our defence is suspect but we are very quick on the break. Look out for Anderson and Yates. Should be a good game and we will be wearing our purple shirts in support of motor neurone disease and Stephen Derby. Result? Our recent form has been poor so I think Bantams will just shade it. By the way, why did you send Doyle out on loan? Can't understand it, does he have ego problems?
Here's hoping for a good match whatever.
