To be fair to him second i thought it was arguably the best I've seen him play.

 

Booing at the final whistle tonight. I really hope it was aimed at the ref.

 

Bowyer signed him as he said he was ready to go, Obviously not

 

Mellor has been poor most of the games he's played this season. Bad mistake from Bowyers leaving Henley out.

 

Aye missing many more tackles than normal. He was still chasing shadows for most of the game.

 

Didn't hear any in the Midland, mate, and I was listening to see if people were as peed off as me.

Think the vast, vast majority were accepting that we simply lost a game.

 

Was that actually a foul on Devine for the penalty? Seen it again just now and I'd be fuming if that was given against us...

 

I actually thought Cooke was MOTM second half he was driving forward as well as starting moves from the back.
Someone posted Akpan got MOTM I wonder if they were at the game, having said that the Akpan effort was something else and deserved a goal but again their keeper made a great save.

I was on the lower end of the upper Kop and heard nothing. tbh it would have been better directed at our players than the ref, who was a homer tonight!!

 

Its with the FA with regards paying for Barrow I believe, I don't understand why the club have not made a comment with about his absence.

I agree, he can't header the ball for toffee but on the deck he was good tonight and put a shift in

 

I'm not gonna have a go at them after that, I thought first half we were flat and badly missed Connolly and Pritchard. Second half we gave it a good to but came up short, they score with their only attack of the half. Way it goes sometimes. How we lost I'll never know.

 

Never a penalty wasnt even a good ball to play Devine in.

 

A soft penalty to get back in the game. Amazing we went into half time level.
Didn't take advantage of that opportunity. We have a lot of players on our books but very little with any quality (Whom are currently available)

What a great piece of football from Akpan and a very good reaction save from Brown.

 

As I understand it the issue is that having played for Barrow in the Lancashire Cup it could be that Barrow hold his registration and he cannot sign for us outside the transfer window and not that he has already played for another team.
I would have thought the issue was a black and white one, either they held his registration or they didn't. Presumably nothing has been said publicly whilst we are still in discussions with the FA/EFL. Due diligence not done?

 

Thought Devine had a good second half, found plenty of space down the right and a couple of good balls in.

I would have personally removed Akpan for McCartan while Akpan was playing the attacking midfield role.

But Bowyer knew better.
