As no-one as far as I can tell has posted a match thread.

Win must be the priority and with the summit ever reachable we must keep the momentum up. If we do so then Macclesfield should be a breeze.

Same line up but with Pritchard out 2 changes. Mccartan in for Oteh and Devine for Pritchard (I know).

So another Home game, and potentially, another three points.

Port Vales recent form is better than that of Crawley Towns, and Vale also know how to score a goal or two. However, their away form is questionable, and have yet to record an away league Win, thus far.

    Their last 7 Away reads as W - 0, D - 3 and L - 4, with F - 8 and A - 15 GD.
Compere this to Citys Home form, and a City Win is bang on the money, yeah ? :)

With our team selection more limited, so should our approach be, in this game. Port Vale will be hoping to catch City on the hop, whilst looking for their first Away victory.

None the less, I'll be hoping for a solid 2 - 0 Win for City, in what could be a hard and physical game. We may not be pretty to watch, but our resilience should shine through.

I think GB will bring back Mellor for added height at the back and Partner BRE with POC.
I think Akpan in the midfield with Cooke and the forwards will stay the same.
Maybe Connelly for Ismail if fit.

The 'missing piece' may still be there though, if Pritchard is unavailable. We all know what happened in the second half against Crawley. It'll be interesting to see how GB addresses that. Even without a play maker, THAT gap MUST be filled.
McCartan .......... Could he do it ? Would GB risk playing Devine / Anderson along side Akpan, and pushing Cooke further up ? A few options, but none which appear inspiring. ;)

Graham Salisbury is the referee. He has refereed at Valley Parade on numerous occasions, with the away team usually winning.

Is he the one who likes to show he won't be influenced by the home support?

Just asking....why do you think he will drop AOC? I thought he had a very good game against Crawley

Maybe not 'drop' AOC, but place him in defensive MF, whilst pushing Cooke further up ?

    Now there's a good thought ! ;)

Yet admittedly, our Bench would be very weak.

Parker said we are hopeful Connolly & Pritchard be okay, if that's the case then slap them both back in starting 11.

Both very important to how we play. Connolly and Ismail on the flanks and Pritchard central gives us a bit of everything.

Considering Ismali hasn’t completed 90 minutes yet this season is it realistic/risky to expect him to start tomorrow? If fit, maybe Connelly is a straight swap for him and then bring him on for the last 2 minutes and take Connelly off.

Apart from that I’d stick with the same team that started against Crawley. If Pritchard isn’t fit enough to start then I’d bring McCarten in for him

Ismail was blowing out of his arse just before being taken off, looked knackered

I think because Port Vale have some height in their team and because the other 2 are fresher he might give AOC a rest.
Not dropped, but the cycle seems to be 4 or 5 games for a duo then swapped around. Good management imo
