Passing around at the back is for when you're by far the better team and the opponent's come to park the bus

Draw them out and move them round the pitch manipulate them and let them make errors and leave gaps

I don't know why Stevenage were doing it though playing out from the back with two defenders and keeper in their own area

Last team that came and did this was FGR last season and wasn't it also 4 1 to us also

 

Their keeper probably had half theirs walking it towards half way, I’d be more interested in possession in opponents half that’ll tell a different and more honest story.

 

Suspect we won't have to worry about that again!

 

I disagree. One hoof ball forward doesn’t make up for the misplayed simple passes.
Yes he got the long pass into the right area but the goal was mainly down to poor defending (they let the ball bounce) and the sheer determination from cook. The ball was very much a McArdle type ball.
He made several errors with his short passing which will lead to goals for the opposition if they are not cut out.
I think he had a good game but simple errors need to be cut out.
It’s a small blemish on an otherwise fantastic game.

 

Any one got an update on Angol’s injury.

He should never be allowed to take another penalty - ever! He doesn’t even look as if he is going to score by his body language. As a striker, it’s any easy goal - IF you can execute the penalty with confidence.

 

I’ve been quite critical of the poor quality lately, but last night, that was far, far, better.

The radio didn’t mention anything about Crankshaws assist. They were too busy banging on about Canavan being a ball boy here (Andy Kiwomya was too busy singing and making random R2D2 noises). I thought it was excellent play by him, turning the defender, cutting along the byline and delivering the perfect cross. Well done.

I made a schoolboy planning error and arranged a meal out last night without checking fixtures, so missed the game. I'm going to enjoy watching the whole lot rather than highlights

 

Have to say I think that's one of the best games we have played at VP. whether that was down to the opposition or not remains to be seen.

Interesting tidbit though, DA now has been a manager longer than T&S at 75 and 74 days respectively. if you want to include the caretaker stint it is around 134 days for T&S

 

Says? T&A report saying he will be assessed today, could be cramp. Rosa on the other hand is hamstring and 4 weeks.
