Thats the most I've enjoyed a 45 minutes of football involving this club for at least 3 or 4 years. Our use of the ball and attacking play has been outstanding- light years ahead of the Oldham game. Feels unfair to single out anyone as every attacking and midfield player has been superb but Verham has been sensational. He's added another dimension. Oh, and Cook - perfect Hat Trick!

We're a bit stretched defensively, which we need to sort, but that's an outstanding half.

Angols all round play has been excellent too - but I can't fathom why a player lacking in composure is our penalty taker....

Thats the first time I've seen us in our team at League 2 and think 'we look way too good for this level'.

I genuinely didn't think we had that level of performance in us.

What a game that was, thoroughly thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. Best game I've watched in years.
A few more like that this season and its going to be one to remember!

Well done Derek Adams and all the lads on the pitch tonight

If people think the prediction league is complicated I don't know how they manage the procedures of normal life, try a passport application for one.
Enter score, enter City scorers, job done.

No it doesnt. Fordy has his right to an opinion like any one else. If you don't like his comments put him on ignore.

I know Cook will get the plaudits and rightly so it was a 10 out of 10 CF performance but that is the Charles Vernham I hoped we'd signed his best performance for us by a country mile he was class. Hope he can maintain that level of performance if he can we have some player for this level.

We really need to be turning teams like these over at home and there is no reason why not . The old Bradford City that stays in L2 gets a draw here but if we’re serious about being up there we need to make a statement and beat teams like Stevenage at home. No league games are easy but our squad should be more than capable of beating these.

Not going to criticize the kid Angol as I thought he did a lot of good work with the ball BUT why has he gone for placing his penalties, when the ones he took during the pre-season games he put high into the top corner of the net no keeper saves those.

So impressive attacking wise in the first half and it allowed us to take our foot off the gas second half.

Vernam produced his best performance for us and Gillead and Cooke also looked brilliant tonight.

Cook - a perfect hat-trick….what can you say.

Angol fluffed the pen but linked up well with Cook early on.

Haven’t enjoyed a half of City like that for quite some time.

said it before and I’ll say it again. Derek is the dogs bollocks. He’ll take us up

Unbelievable performance tonight - we looked like we was going to score every time we went forward!

Not only were we technically quality, but it was great to see we never took our foot off the gas either - fought for every ball until the final whistle! Fitness levels looked great.

Cook was amazing, but special mention to Vernam. I love the way he just drives at people, he'll cause every single right back in this league problems - can either cut inside on his right or take people on and cross on his left. Such an exciting player - as was Crankshaw when he came on! (Great assist for the Canavan goal)

All in all, one of the best performances I can remember at Valley Parade in a very, very long time.

Well that was a dominant performance.

We absolutely tore them to pieces down the left hand side and Cook even with 3 goals to his name was running and chasing every ball till the end.

A fantastic team performance with chances and shots flying in from everywhere.

If we had walked off the park with 7 or 8 Stevenage couldn't have complained.

    Roll on Saturday.

    Superb all round.

Imagine how good we’d be if we didn’t lack quality.

Seems rough on Cook but Vernham is player of the first half for me.

Interesting hearing Adams dig about young up and coming managers wanting to pass 200 times in their own half, in a play station sort of way. WOAP hint it could have been aimed at Ravell, but it could quite easily have been aimed at Trueman and Sellars last season. AOC typified this approach when forever looking to pass backwards or sideways, but he wasn’t alone in doing this. It must have been encouraged by the dynamic duo. Possession based football with no end product seems to have been the mantra for not only T&S but also an experienced manager in McCall too.

I can certainly see why Adams has been a success. His style of play, set up, demeanour and mentality is so reminiscent of the Parky way that brought us so much success. Bring me dour all day long if last night was anything to go by.

Sometimes clubs have traditional ways and styles of play that are synonymous to them, the West ham way or the Arsenal way to name a couple of examples.
To a much lesser extent last nights performance was akin to long gone successful City era's.
We've had success under Parky, however last nights performance took me back to Jewell's era.
The way Ridehalgh stormed forward to support Vernam ( Beags/Jacobs)
The mobility and effectiveness of Angol and Cook ( Mills/Blake)
    Watt Cooke ( whalley/Macca)
The difference in class isn't the same, however the spine, the partnerships, the methodology very similar.
That's what it reminded me of...

And as Graham Taylor once said about us when we'd beat his Watford 2:0
"Bradford don't play possession football, but when they have it, they hurt you"

That was last night, long may it continue.
Long time since I felt as content as last night leaving the ground

Buzzing after that. Can't remember any recent game where we dominated to that degree from start to end. So many positives only concern is Angol's injury, hope it's not serious.

If that's our dour counter attacking nick a win style, I'm a fan!

Vernam surely undroppable after that, he was immense. Loved his link up with the full back, we were bossing it down that left wing
