Four games without scoring at home. Get them out.

 

That made me chuckle

 

I thought that was terrible for most of the match with some sprinkles of OK play. If we can't beat that Scunthorpe team Im sorry we won't get anywhere near primotion. We seem to be going through Anthony O'connor as though he is some sort of Pirlo type player who can get us going. He has his strengths defensively but going forward he slows the play down and invites pressure looks backwards far too much. The pattern of play is so predictable its ridiculous and we are devoid of any tempo to our play. Evans at the minute looks shot he's been very poor heads down all the time and his body language screams there's something wrong. There needs to be another big recruitment drive in the summer.

 

Ain't it awful that once again we're all just looking forward to the end of a season yet again so the suffering can at least come to a halt for a couple of months. We'll end up in 15/16th place and rightly so. This is what it is. We're currently a mediocre to poor fourth division side. This is Bradford City.

 

I feel for them in a way. They've done the job required to get mid table mediocrity with what is a piss poor squad of players but the good run they had made a rod for their own back which in truth they didn't deserve. I don't think any manager could have got promotion with this shower of shite, thats not to say i think they should be here next season, but trying to turn round the shit left by Rhodes and Rupp is probably a bigger job than being in the hands of two nice guys in Trueman and Sellars.

 

They might be nice guys but the Bradford City job is too big for them. The expectation of immediate success and promotion as an absolute minimum is just too much pressure for them especially with fans in the stadium. They have to understand that merely surviving is not good enough.

 

Excited is probably a tad extreme but we are not going into the summer without a plan in place. I am optimistic that we will have a much more rounded squad for next season. Then who knows. T&S certainly seem to understand the game and achieved their first goal, which was safety, by a country mile.

Chopping and changing managers isn't the answer as we have seen, get a better group of players to work with.

Look at Parky, he was able, eventually, to get a team to play his way. Stuart inherited a decent team and nearly took us into the Championship. So to me its more about the players than the managers.

Turnbull seems to have the connections to make deals happen. Let's see what unfolds over the summer.

 

Two poor teams meeting up today. We have complete lack of motivation and need to step up last home game of the season and give us fans something to cheer about . Novak needs to start 3-1 City.
We need a win then a big sort out or “I’m on my way”

 

I agree with your sentiments however as one of the 11,000 or so present on the day I don’t need to go to a memorial service or a football match to remember it. I never need reminders

Its bad. Really bad. And its far too easy to dismiss as 'typical end of season dead rubber' but we've been like this for weeks. There's no evidence of any sort of coaching on display at all.

 

Were at home we should be better than this, maybe instead of going backwards we should hit a few long balls into the Scunthorpe box, absolute rubbish, nothing changes,

 

Take more water with your spirits mate .

 

But you know it’ll happen.

 

We need a manager with more of an attacking mind too.

 

Well, at least the season's nearly over but that was dire yet again. The question is, are the players clueless or are the management? Or are they both? I suspect the latter, but only one more tortuous game to get through and we can all have a rest for a while and see what pans out over the summer. I know I need one.

 

And apologies! Didn't mention Clayton Donaldson - he's put in amazing professional performances for us of late.Love that guy - a real pro.

 

Agree it's a pity we probably can't find him something to do, also probably a bit expensive..
