Its blatantly obvious why we dont attack, , apart from Cooke , our attacking players are too old , too slow or just bloody useless.
Evans Clarke Vernham Donaldson or injury prone Ismael Novak, this is where we need to improve , defensively and defensive midfield is not far off.
As for the managers, i really do not know, are their hands tied , with the players at their disposal, or are they just not up to this level of football, how did they manage that run of results earlier in the season, with more or less the same players.
As for tonights match , i don't think either side deserved the win . They were organised and held their shape well , nothing too spectacular attack wise . Expected more from a team with a supposed £5 million wage budget. They just wanted it more towards the end, as a point was no good to them in the chase for that last playoff place, the sort of desire we have lacked, since our chance to reach that last place became apparent.

I may do what Park suggests although not to Leeds, even though they are an entertaining side to watch these days. Pretty much the opposite to us. I've wasted £250 this season to back this club even though the chance of watching live football was very slim. I'm going to have to think long and hard wether i want to do the same again because no matter how cheap it is, if something is shite then its shite. And we are shite, both with results and performances. The stark realisation is we are just a bang average lower half league 2 football club.
Forget about all this nonsense the players come out with about being some sleeping giant at Valley Parade waiting to be resurrected. My lad has lost interest and i suspect so have many more.

I keep saying this but every season we keep playing boring football in mid table league 2 mediocrity more and more people will give up and go to Huddersfield, Leeds, Burnley and Harrogate. We already have an uninterested owner, a city even more ambivalent than it is today to the fortunes of its league football club will kill it. Bulls have all but gone, City could follow, very few clubs bounce back from relegation out of the league.

 

Thanks for all you've done T&S. Relegation was a real possibility at Christmas, yet you've managed to get a tune out of this motley crew enough to steer us away from danger. For that we should all be grateful.

Yet moving forward, I genuinely don't think the duo have enough about them to implement a real style to our play. The football we play is absolutely appalling. Aimless hoofing. These last three games were the time to experiment with personel and approach, yet no obvious experimentation has taken place, certainly not this evening.

So many of this current crop are sub standard and with another ruthless cull in the summer, I honestly believe they giving the job to a real lower league manager with experience, would give us a better shot at promotion next season. Its such a shame to be talking about pulling the trigger again, yet I think its necessary for the greater good of the club, and any ambition of promotion next season

This lot are largely duff - definitely not good enough to get promoted.

What's more important than talking about Trueman and Sellars is talking about how we're going to get players in the building that are good enough.

 

Yeah, in the clear light of day we still have an owner who doesn't really give a feck. I'm actually at the point where i'm not bothered anymore, watching tonights game was yet another example of where lower league players struggle with the basics and its that i find near impossible to watch. I'll see what the mantra from the club is in the summer, this season was a write off from the very start while clubs like Salford and Bolton stole a march with their take on the salary cap. Sick of the same soundbytes from the usual sources, talk is cheap.

 

Talking of sound bytes heard the interview before the game talking about signing the right players again who want to play for the club? How many times have we been told they do interviews with them to make sure they want to sign and don’t just come for a payday? It’s all bollocks. If they are good enough sign them

They’re so lucky that fans aren’t inside the ground. No way would we stand for 1 up front and defending from the 18 yard box. Salford like our recent opponents were very average, yet we stood off them. That is poor beyond belief. How many teams win games by being defensive?

Evening RT. I feel your pain with your son. My son is exactly the same. His interest has all but gone, I'm sure he has taken in 3 games this season, despite a season ticket holder.
I so look forward to quality time around football with my son. Food, travel, chat, stupidness even the moaning!! Those midweek trips to the smoke, getting fleeced as my wallet gets the treatment!! Food on Manningham Lane, talking football and all the other nonsense on matchday at VP.

Tonight, I took in about 40 minutes. Seen better, seen worse. My son, didn’t even know we had played, as he was at college. The reality is he has lost his interest. I started chatting about what I had seen, I feel he had no interest whatsoever.

So, as I have said before, my matchday experience is about my son. Thus a dilemma. I still want to care about this club but I'm fed up of its ineptitude, its excuses, it's lack of any real momentum.

I accept we are gonna be shit more often but since Rupp came, this club has gone backwards. We have volume from Sparks but actions and all that...
We have government restrictions, them fecking passports, social distancing and whatever else to contend with before we even step foot in VP.
