The offside is not the main question, The biggest question is how the feck Evans stayed on the whole game and Vernam who was having his best game was taken off, T&S are not fit for purpose

 

A bit too much of this soundbyte lark lately, we're gonna do this or do that. Like listening to a bullshitting salesman at times. Less is more sometimes.

 

Couldn't put it better myself. I have a year left before my lad makes his way (hopefully) to university. Do I really want to spend that time with him in a covid restricted stadium watching what amounts to a brand of football hardly any better than watching non league? Ifollow actually lays bare just how poor these players are, watching live you can get caught up in the game or chat with people around you. When you actually sit at home and 'admire' the talent on show more often than not its crap.
I took my lad to the playoff final for his first game about 8 years ago. That connection the club made to my lad has all but disappeared. Its gonna take a lot more than cheesy soundbytes in interview friendly articles with Radio Leeds and WOAP to turn that around. Feel pretty flat about football right now.

 

Nearly took it out on my telly at that point. Yeah, when the board went up you just knew it would be Cook's number on it. What do these two not getting about their system not working?

Another point, there's 'talk' about trying our kids out since there's nothing to play for, yet with 10 minutes to go we bring on a loanee who's hardly played and who we'll never see again after the next two matches. While our own kids warm the bench.

 

Always think a manager is losing it when they claim we created loads of chances after a game we lost.

Trueman saying we needed to take our chances last night was laughable. We created one good chance all night, let's not kid ourselves. Sure we had a few shots in the first half but nothing that constituted a good chance.

Salford on the other hand had the best chance in the first half and the best chance in the second.

Creating one good chance at home after you've gone three home games without scoring is pitiful but when a manager thinks we created enough last night, its clear he has no idea.

 

I've no doubt Messrs Trueman and Sellars are thoroughly decent individuals, doing their level best to make a success of their roles. Unfortunately, currently, there is not one shred of evidence to suggest they can advance our club. It's got to the stage I can't bear to watch the absolute dross that's served up on the pitch. How anyone can watch that, listen to the "cloud cuckooland" post match comments and still think they are the future of this club, is beyond me.

 

Bowyerball vs the shite we've witnessed over the last month or so has the ability to be the worst game of the season.

 

I think an upturn in commitment now when there is nothing left to play for will p!ss me off more than if they just go through the motions in the last 3 games. Too little too late for me and simply not good enough.

 

So much for experimenting eh?

That was atrocious. Like for like and playing for a draw. We can't start next season with these in charge. They're not ready yet and can't transition us between defence and attack. One up front and isolated, deary me.

 

Worrying if our managers think the biggest worry at end is rushing to analysts to see if goal was offside.

I'd be more concerned about pathetic performance.

And talking of pathetic evans take a bow. Slow, doesn't tackle, stands around offers absolutely nothing and stays on for full game!!

 

Look if Sparks isn't thinking about getting rid of T & S then he's an idiot!

 

The squad isn’t good enough. How many managers are we going to go through before the players start taking some responsibility?
We don’t have a good team. We don’t have a top 7 team. We have a lot of players who in my opinion are too comfortable and know they will get picked week in week out.
We all got excited over Watt and Vernam and Crankshaw coming in yet no one knew anything of their ability. Well I can see why the likes of Burton and Wigan weren’t interested in keeping these young players. Not up to league 1 standard.
I’ve no idea what the hell the answer is anymore. We can’t keep sacking managers. We can’t keep building new squads every summer. We just feel rudderless. I think Sparks is doing all he can but with the state of the club at the moment I do think we could have done with experience. Someone who’s been there and done it.
As it stands I won’t be renewing. I think the only way to get through to Rupp is by not attending. While we’re getting 14000 in league 2 then I can’t see it changing.

 

Thanks for all you've done T&S. Relegation was a real possibility at Christmas, yet you've managed to get a tune out of this motley crew enough to steer us away from danger. For that we should all be grateful.

Yet moving forward, I genuinely don't think the duo have enough about them to implement a real style to our play. The football we play is absolutely appalling. Aimless hoofing. These last three games were the time to experiment with personel and approach, yet no obvious experimentation has taken place, certainly not this evening.

So many of this current crop are sub standard and with another ruthless cull in the summer, I honestly believe they giving the job to a real lower league manager with experience, would give us a better shot at promotion next season. Its such a shame to be talking about pulling the trigger again, yet I think its necessary for the greater good of the club, and any ambition of promotion next season

 

Perhaps he'll change his mind when he watches the video.
