We’re not as crap when Doyle was in.

 

We just need 2 loans. A FAST winger, and a controlling midfielder who can put a tackle in.
Balls over the top are even effective cause both are smart enough to play on the shoulder.


Put balls in and these 2 can score 15-20 each.

 

i thought he was tidy enough when he played at cambridge and grimsby. Does the quiet stuff well and plays the simple ball. At least theres a chance he'll improve as opposed to akpan who is a complete lost cause for me now.

 

Vaughan and Donaldson are different gravy. Give them chances and they'll score a heap load at this level.

 

I think we’ve been superb all over the park this half. Can’t knock anyone.

 

Scannell really doesnt justify his probably very large wage.
Every time hes got the ball this half hes dithered and lost it.

Devines been struggling to get in our team for 5 years.
He isnt going to improve.


Akpan is 10x the player.

Apart from being dominated for like 35 of the 45 minutes....

 

Akpan isnt ten times the player of anyone unless it's with regard to his pointing at the ball while doing nothing skills

 

Oldham look good attacking and shit defending.

They have caused us lot of problems and hit the post.

We are lucky to be 2 ahead.

With a good midfield general we would create more chances.

Scannell has been poor so far.

 

The only City player battling and winning balls in midfield is Vaughan!!

 

Henley still looks suspect to me, his body shape is all wrong for a left back.

Devine has been ok but we need much better.

Mellor looks much improved too.

Oldham can't deal with balls in the box so keep doing that and we'll win the game.

 

Sounds like we could be playing better by what the commentary is like but we’re 2 up so can’t complain too much

 

There’s some right dongs about sprouting sh1t at the moment.

 

Oldham were almost running through us at will. A quality DM is an absolute must.

I quite like Wood on the left who put in a couple of very good crosses

 

what does that even mean, people think my low opinion of these players is some knee jerk thing. I spent all last season watching Akpan and he's carried his soft as shite displays over into this season from the looks of it. Why keep defending players that have repeatedly failed us

 

Certainly an improvement. 442 gives the team width and balance. Keep it simple and effective. Wood and Devine doing ok, front two are class at this level.

My only couple of moans so far are our appalling habit of messing about with the ball in our possession between defence and keeper. AOC has the opportunity to hit it long. He plays it back to O'D drawing pressure. OD passes it back to AOC and he hits it long. Why not cut out the middle man and reduce this threat?! Secondly, Scannell. I appreciate hes not 100% but he cant seem to beat a man or supply a decent ball in. Hope this improves

 

Obviously a few afternoon IPAs have affected my judgement. But we’re winning 2-0 at half time. When was the last time that happened? Enjoy!

 

I was actually agreeing with you. Doyle, Akpan, Devine, Anderson, O’connor and the rest of the shit need binning and until they are this club is going nowhere apart from lingering in the toilet division.

 

Fair play my apologies, I think once last season's sacks of shite are gone we'll be fine. Till then its just muddle through and keep getting rid where we can.
