I think Scanz needs to get fully match fit, and in my view he isn’t. I think when he has had 2/3 games we can start to judge him on his performance. He has been nursed through pre season and hardly got any minutes on grass. Last season was out for most of it. Let’s cut him a bit of slack.

 

Bit strange though. He played a few games at the end of last season and had the same full pre-season as everyone else. So why would he be any less match fit than the others?

 

I am only going on what has been said. The only conclusion is that he has missed some of the pre season with injury? In any event that goal should put a smile on his face and up his confidence, but we do need more from him no argument.

 

I think he will come good if he avoids injury and gets a run of games. From what I've seen of him he's very powerful and should overwhelm most L2 fullbacks if playing with confidence.

Just watched most of it, passing was atrocious in the first half. Bloody good job the defence is rock solid or we could have easy had 3-0 to them. Dominant ball winning centre mid absolute priority on that evidence.
