To be fair our singers have been useless lately. We can't play much worse than we have been attacking wise.

 

If it is 442 and he's shoehorned a LB and CM out wide whilst 2 fit wingers sit on the bench, I'll be fuming.

On a different note, hope there's a good round of applause for Flynny today before the match starts. Did his bit for us along the way and it would be good for him to get a bit of a cheer. Then a win for us hopefully!

Reeves and Cook are not, by any stretch of the imagination, defensive midfield players

Called it right that BRE would get dropped, has to beccause of his rash challeges, but not to be in the squad is a little worrying.

 

Nor is Taylor, I believe. Some decent quality in that midfield. Let's hope they can make us tick. Let's also hope we don't just launch missiles at Vaughan, over their heads, all game.

How is reeves not a DM? He plays as the deepest lying midfielder. Just because he's not the kante type tackling midfielder doesn't mean he's not a DM

 

Reeves defo is, I spoke to him through the summer - see previous posts- where he said he wanted to be classed as the CDM and I got slated for even suggesting it! He has the ability to pick the ball up, see a pass and execute it, which is what your deep midfielder is ideal for. He doesn't do the dirty side of the game that much, but he's a very good distributor when the play is in front of him.

 

The WotP article stated we've had the most number of crosses into the box this season of any league two team.

Interestingly, Swindon have had very few. They've scored most of their goals with short passes and through balls.

Hopefully Cooke and Reeves can get on the ball and pass some quality balls forward today.

I believe as we get more midfielders back he will be pushed further forward.
