    Yes, fair point.

What I was getting at though, is the lower down the leagues you go, generally speaking the football is less fancy and more gritty.

Furthermore, I’m in the needs must camp. Not bothered about being entertained, just want to go up, and on our current form that’s where we’re heading, regardless of how we’re doing it.

I'm with you with players returning I would hope Bowyer will allow the players off the leash, but as you as long as we get out of league 2 I'll be happy.

Love the clip but I saw at least three occasions where we would have played the ball back to the centre half position who would then have played it back to the keeper rather than the quick balls inside or one/two touch movement we see from Crewe.

The differences between Crewe in this clip and Bradford? Movement, touches and speed.

We are very, very static in the middle and take way too many touches and way too much time to move the ball. In every game the number of time I see the man on the ball holding his hands out because no one is moving or I see the front two moving into space but the midfield are already turning back or sideways drives me insane.

We are solid, we are hard to beat but we are not dynamic. Our problem isn't the forwards or potential wingers (because we don't play them as such right now) I believe they are a match for anyone. Our back four/five are absolute rocks. the problem is the middle. Our midfield is slow, static, lacks creativity and has no ball winner and is overrun and out fought in most games.

    So? What is the solution?

Donaldson we are missing more than we have realised and I hope that Devitt is the difference in the middle but I still think we are missing a piece in the middle of the park.

I would hope that GB's team selections and game plans are arrived at by the resources available to him - which have been hampered for months, and has therefore encouraged his 'safety first' stance. IF that is the case - one would then hope a better and fuller squad will convince him to relax the shackles, and venture into enterprising and entertaining (or at the very least - watchable !!) football. January will be interesting as the squad fills up again, and any transfer activity is also good.

Do you now need to know my son wanted to go over the Xmas period? Send me your email address and I'll post you my monthly schedules, it'll stop you being pre-occupied with me and posting pap.
