Yep. I think everyone knows it's dull and lifeless. Sometimes you have to think about the long game though. There aren't that many football clubs who can go from season to season, entertaining the crowd week in week out and actually win something at the end of it. It happens of course but it tends not to last that long, If it does they usually have serious money. Bradford are a club in the bottom league of pro football. Not really much to look forward to if you drop to the bottom apart from non league. It's far more important to get out of this division looking up. At least you have a comfort zone between that and the pit division. I'm shocked at how distant the memory of Peter Taylor and non league seems to be distant to many fans. It really wasn't that long ago.
Maybe the memory of being absolutely slaughtered by Accrington stanley on a tuesday night is too distant also.

If it was all a means to an end, then fair enough.

We'll all take promotion playing utter pants football.

But we're not in the top three, and we've been playing 'safe' for quite some time.

Playing 'safe' and getting to the play offs just puts us in a lottery - and if that's the case, is it really worth playing dog poo football?

To be fair, we are helping Swindon out with their playing budget.

I'm all for a means to an end ie 3 points at any cost, but I can't and won't try to defend that first 60 minutes, Bowyer had the players on the bench why not start them, we looked far better with 4-4-2.

    Times have changed.

    Fans want to be entertained.

This league is weak but Bowyer is boring the hell out of it and he is proving not to be Bradford City manager that fans like..

As a business we are looking to ship 20k season tickets but that isn't going to happen under this boring man.

It's a distant memory, but the first 12 minutes of today's game was the most embarrassing spell of football I can remember.

Morecambe couldn't even complete a pass or keep the ball in play, and yet somehow we managed to pin ourselves back.

Reeves, today, was disgracefully bad. He and Palmer stunk Valley Parade out for the second successive game.

It's the midfield, playing in that awful 5-3-2 (it's not 3-5-2) that stops us playing.

I agree. At the end of the season and if we are promoted, we might well look back, forget the turgid football and congratulate Bowyer on his tactics. But when we are not yet guaranteed of a promotion place and we are having to sit through the drivel that is being served up in the name of football, it's little wonder that at this stage Bowyer's tactics and his general approach are being questioned justifiably by many fans.

Bore them to death and appear weak, then hit them with the surprise double sub and formation change

    Bowyer is a genius

Four successive games, I think, without a goal from open play.

Sulky Bowyer switches to 4-4-2, goal from open play within twenty minutes.

Thats the problem. It creates nothing against very limited sides. We only looked remotely threatening today when we went 4 at the back. And can somebody tell him playing two completely same style players about five yards apart in midfield achieves nothing as well. I'm all for three points but Bowyer makes way way harder than it should be.

Jake Reeves aka Mr Sideways isn't helping Bowyer right now. Reeves makes us more negative.

We looked better when Taylor came on.

How dare you bitch about the game, go and support someone else or something. Heaven forbid you should have your own opinion.

Nothing has changed Fordy. It's still the same old game and same old expectations people had in 1974 when I first started watching. Those of us who have been going for many decades have seen City in the lower divisions. Always hoping. We've had seasons of success. We've experienced far far more disappointment. I'm afraid it just comes with the territory, just as it does with fans of many other teams, Often it's very relative. Newcastle do extremely well in comparison to Bradford City. For a so called big club they've achieved very little. I'd absolutely love to smash this division playing fantastic football. Sometimes the end justifies the means though. There are a lot of games left. Maybe we have been very lucky. The next game will go some way to answering that question though.

The fans played a massive part in changing the game today

That match was 10 minutes away from turning very ugly , with boos for every back pass and poor play

The Attack chants forced Bowyer into the subs he made before things went really down hill fast

I feel for Reeves. He has no options when he's on the ball.

Another frustration from today... and the last few games... why do we continually get the ball at the back, pass it from side to side, get in a more advanced position then turn back and give it back to the keeper for him to simply hoof it up field anyway?! What's the point?! We can simply do that in the first place without inviting pressure!

Then we have Reeves and Palmer too, both looked to be looking for passes and not having any options, ball comes backwards or at best side to side. Under pressure they give the ball away. Change to 442 and we seem to less congested, and have much more room to pick a pass. It's doing my box in!!!!

Reeves is our best midfield player which says alot when he's been out so long. For me its palmer that needs dropping. Like to see cooke and reeves together in a 442 formation

Correct, there's often 6/7 behind him and the lack of movement and ability to find space of the ball, is a real concern for me.

    We will get found out.

Another 3 points and another step towards the top 3 but once again dreadfully dull performance. As most on here have already said, we can’t go on playing like this and expect to go up automatically.

The defence have to keep a clean sheet every game as we only look capable of scoring one goal (at best) which is no way to go about a season. We need to find a way of playing a bit more expansively. I don’t expect free flowing total football but we can certainly offer a bit more than we have in recent weeks.
