Absolute garbage until Bowyer pulled his finger out and made the changes. And even then it was just about average. Who would've thought a back 4 with two wingers playing would make us look more threatening eh?

The atmosphere was understandably dire too, it was like a fecking morgue in there today. Doesn't bowyer get it? We're bored to tears ffs. Yet as soon as we get some attacking intent on and start upping the pace the crowd responds. It's not rocket science.

Hopefully this is the end of the 5 at the back experiment, because it hasn't worked at all. Palmer and Reeves can't play together either, they're far too alike.

 

The constant negative tone is draining also, and rubs off on everyone else too.

If people are not happy with the style of football, fine, make your points constructively and engage in conversation

 

Four successive games, I think, without a goal from open play.

Sulky Bowyer switches to 4-4-2, goal from open play within twenty minutes.

The lack of movement up front makes us negative not Reeves. Connolly will make the occassional run but its not a run to get in behind - probably because he isn't a striker - but his runs are headless. Why would he play a ball forward when there's nothing on? We started spreading it wide to AOC and at that point, maybe around 20/25 mins, we should have changed shape and played with 2 wide men to create more options.

 

I would just like to thank the couple of gentlemen that came to my aid when I fell down the steps at Valley Parade yesterday, very kind of you, the age of chivelry is not dead, and by the way I'm ok a bit battered and bruised but otherwise I'm fine. Thanks again

Remember when Bowyer said the switch to 5 at the back was forced on him through injury and illness? I think he was chatting bollocks.

 

I suspect it's because the players arent sent out on the front foot.

Only 15 mins in but We're being outplayed by Morecambe.

 

Who the hell said we had a bright period, that's as bad as I've ever seen. Bowyer is on borrowed time if we don't win this.

That 70 minutes has to rank as some of the worst football I've ever seen. We managed to make a struggling foot of the table side look the better side for large parts of that game. 3 points though so alls good and that I suppose.

 

Yep. I think everyone knows it's dull and lifeless. Sometimes you have to think about the long game though. There aren't that many football clubs who can go from season to season, entertaining the crowd week in week out and actually win something at the end of it. It happens of course but it tends not to last that long, If it does they usually have serious money. Bradford are a club in the bottom league of pro football. Not really much to look forward to if you drop to the bottom apart from non league. It's far more important to get out of this division looking up. At least you have a comfort zone between that and the pit division. I'm shocked at how distant the memory of Peter Taylor and non league seems to be distant to many fans. It really wasn't that long ago.
Maybe the memory of being absolutely slaughtered by Accrington stanley on a tuesday night is too distant also.

This league is weak but Bowyer is boring the hell out of it and he is proving not to be Bradford City manager that fans like..

As a business we are looking to ship 20k season tickets but that isn't going to happen under this boring man.

 

It's a distant memory, but the first 12 minutes of today's game was the most embarrassing spell of football I can remember.

Morecambe couldn't even complete a pass or keep the ball in play, and yet somehow we managed to pin ourselves back.

Reeves, today, was disgracefully bad. He and Palmer stunk Valley Parade out for the second successive game.

It's the midfield, playing in that awful 5-3-2 (it's not 3-5-2) that stops us playing.

 

Another frustration from today... and the last few games... why do we continually get the ball at the back, pass it from side to side, get in a more advanced position then turn back and give it back to the keeper for him to simply hoof it up field anyway?! What's the point?! We can simply do that in the first place without inviting pressure!

Then we have Reeves and Palmer too, both looked to be looking for passes and not having any options, ball comes backwards or at best side to side. Under pressure they give the ball away. Change to 442 and we seem to less congested, and have much more room to pick a pass. It's doing my box in!!!!
